First of all to review my original post:

Red Dwarf III DVD Problems
I have an LG3350 DVD player and am having problems with the Red Dwaft III extras disc. The menu page doesn't work at all, the curser doesn't move and if I try left or right etc then keep pressing enter I get a random selection eventually. Anyone else had such a problem on this disc or a simular problem with any other DVD???
I have now done a Google search and found its not just me, thought I'd post this in case anyone else is having the same problems on here....

We understand that a small number of customers are experiencing difficulties in accessing the bonus features on disc 2 of the Red Dwarf Series III DVD. It may be that a minority of low range or older DVD players have a compatibility issue, however the majority of customers won't have any problem at all.

If you are experiencing playback problems please call the BBC Worldwide DVD helpline on 0870 241 0624 and have ready the details of the problem and the make and model number of the player concerned so we can track the problematic hardware.

I have been called by BBC Technology today and they tell me that a new version of the 2nd disc is now being produced with an option to have the problematic menu in text form only with non of the fancy animations that have been at issue here. Red Dwarf IV will have this feature also.

Although not a perfect solution as I'd rather they make the animations compatable at least it is a quick result and good of BBCT to make the effort as they are doing today to call every person that contacted them about the fault. They hope to have then new discs for repalcement in the next few weeks and have them out to us before the new year.

If you have not called BBCT yet and are experiencing the fault I suggest you get in touch with them and you will be kept informed of developments
