Sky+ transfer to Humax HD PVR
I've looked around the forums and haven't been able to find an answer to my problem. I'm not sure if I should be posting in Sky+ or Freesat+.
I am in the process of moving away from Sky+ and using just my Humax HD Freesat PVR. I have a number of existing recordings on the Sky+ box I would like to move over to the Humax box. Is there any way of achieving this? I have no problem taking the HD out of the Sky+ box if needed, I upgraded it a few years ago. Is there any software or hardware that will move the recordings over? I have a DVD recorder and as a last resort I could move the stuff to DVD, but it would be nice if I could keep everything in one place, and possibly take advantage of the upscaling on the Humax. |

The HDR can only play back what was recorded on it, not that which was recorded on an external source. It needs 2 additional files, which it creates, to play back each .ts file. To date, no-one here has reported that they have been able to re-create those files, or even what the format of those files is. Looks like you need to go the DVD route ![]() Rgds. Les. |
