I thought Play.com were selling them for £249 with free delivery?

You'll find that the HotUKDeal was posted well before (about 10:35) the DS and the 'plugmymoneymakingwebsite' post!

Are you getting one now Humid?

Thats all well and good if your looking at the HotUKDeals web site. I merely pointed out that it was brought to the attention of DS members on this site and it wouldn't have been too difficult for the OP to spot that fact. For those who have issuses with affiliated web links you can go straight to the homebase web site and search for freesat, the PVR is the top of the results page.

Better to point out in both threads that it would have been better posted in the 'Best Deals and Availability' thread

Don't worry about it GaseousClay, it's all part of the personal issues they have with me/the website because it has advertising based links on; helping some of the 10,000+ visitors per day find the right products at the best prices! The advertising revenue goes towards paying the large hosting costs with 300gb bandwidth usage every month.

Any how, to stop my post being reported and ending up with me getting banned (again ) I'll leave it there and wish everyone a great sunny weekend

To be honest, I agree with you there, I thought about that thread just after I'd submitted the other.

So many people visit your site - why the need to constantly plug it here and doing dodgy things to get banned?!

The advertising revenue goes towards paying the large hosting costs with 300gb bandwidth usage every month.
The same argument used by Piratebay!

so why didn't you initially instead of using my posting as a vehicle for your personal grudges? I will leave it at that as my intentions on this site are to not fall out with other members.

Nor is it mine. I have no personal grudges towards ian-d - I would point out the obvious money making plugs, if any other users had made such a post...

I pointed your post out because you were slating Humid's post off and favouring the plug post more (probably not knowing that it is just a money making post!) Humid's post is a better post as he credited his source and isn't making money out of it!

Hold on one second that post was not slating it was clearly in jest hence the Grin icon and to say I was favouring the other post is ridiculous. It could be said that the other post was better as it had a link but I respect other members views and I'll leave that for them to decide

If it was a throw away 'grin' of a statement, why are you getting worked up about my 'factual' reply?

I merely pointed out the that the post for the deal was way before any post on that 'plugmymoneymakingwebsite'... I suspect Humid did not post a link, because he didn't want to give the impression that he was plugging HotUKDeals (which is also a moneymakingwebsite!)

Barry's post is the best - direct to the HDR! (All though you need a code to get the deal!)

Hi Humid it's been brought to my attention that a post I made earlier may have unwittingly caused offense so to avoid a long and protracted exchange of posts may I offer my agologies

Sorry, I did look very quick but obviously missed it in my hurry, but I was on my way out. I didn't post a link as I wasn't sure it would be right. I'm still waiting for them to come down further, but I was thinking of those that may want one now at a lower price.

Must have sold out or been withdrawn - the link doesn't work any more, and searching for Humax or Freesat on the Homebase site doesn't bring back the PVR. Shame...

I don't get what's going on with the play website - they have 3 Humax Freesat products, the PVR for 289.99, the HD box for 249.99 (!), and a "Zapper" (with a photo of the HD box) for 129.99. I have posted a correction against the HD box at 249.99, see if they update it...
