Are there any PAL TV's available in the UK that can produce a progressive scan output? Leave out plasma and LCD screens as I am looking for a standard widescreen tube TV that can display progressive scan pictures.

Thanks for any help.

This 28" JVC, this 32" JVC or this 36" JVC can all do it (assuming you like JVC of course).

You could also look at the Toshiba 36ZP38 or Toshiba 32ZP38 here under the 'Picture Frame TV' menu option.
These TV's have won lots of awards.

It's worth a look on the Comet auctions site. The Toshiba progressive scan ones come up quite regularly there. I've just got a Toshiba 36ZP38 for £871 (inc. stand and speakers). I think they are a bit overpriced at the going rate of about £1300 but a good buy at £871.... I'm very pleased with it. I've only discovered one minor irritation and that is that the Scart loopthrough function is not kept powered when the set is put on standby.

I am very tempted with the JVC 32" you quoted. I have seen it for £899 and it has lots of features like Pal progressive scan and also it's compatible up to 1125i HDTV from what I read. Not sure if theirs some limitations to the HD signals it can play though but still it sounds a great TV for £900. Are JVC TV's any good in general? I've never had one.
