R.I.P. Jade

My thoughts are with her family today.

Am really saddened to hear this news, although it was inevitable it's still quite a shock to hear.

I'd like to pass my sincere condolences to her 2 boys, her mother, Jack and all her family & friends at this very sad time.

She wasn't perfect, but she wouldn't have been so interesting if she was.

She lived to the fullest and I'm just glad her pain is over now.

Sad news, my thoughts are with her family especially her sons, I hope all the hateful posts will now stop on here

So sorry to hear of this. I wasn't really a fan of Jade but I didn't dislike her either.

She showed a lot of courage and helped a lot of women.

I know she didn't have much dignity in her battle against this horrible illness but now she has gone please lets just remember her and think about how her two young boys will be feeling at this horrible time.

She held on till the end and no one can fault her for giving up.

whatever she was she certainly IS the contestant most associated with Big Brother.

I still can't believe this and can't stop thinking of her. She has affected me in a way no other famous person has and I will miss her greatly.
I will always say a wee prayer for her every mothers day now and for those gorgeous boys and Jackiey. I hope she stays strong and all my love goes to her, Jack, Jeff and the boys today.

Tragic news that we have been waiting for now for a while. Your determination to bring your suffering into the public eye may have been criticised but I think it shows a courage and determination that all your family and friends should be proud of.

I think it's important to keep in mind that any family member or friend battling for their life is important and special to their loved ones. But of course Jade was special, she was given a platform which she used and will be remembered. This is a good piece on Jade saying something similar:

I dont know whether it's right to repeat a post, I didn't know there were appreciation threads until recently, but can I just add my thoughts? If it's out of place then I'm sure the mods will remove it if you think it's wrong. But this is what I've just posted on the Showbiz forum, it probably belonged here, but I hate the sheer nastiness I've read over the last few months and have lurked rather than being brave and telling the ghouls how I feel. I'm fed up with being silent, so here's my other post

This is my first and probably my last post about Jade.

It's incredible isn't it? For all the hoo hah she's generated more threads, more posts than any other A-Z Celeb I ever remember, certainly DS has ben inundated with the pros and cons of her life.

Funnily enough, the sheer viciousness of a lot of the posts made me want to know more about this loudmouth. I never gave her a thought while she was a healthy pain in the neck.

I think she now has the lasting quality that all those who die young, under tragic circumstances, achieve. I admire her honesty, her lack of pretension and most of all she realised that faith was important. ( please dont flood this thread with anti faith rubbish, believe me I've heard it all and I dont give a stuff about other peoples cynicism) Take it to a different thread.

I'm not ashamed to say I've recorded all the Living shows over the weekend...I never watched them when she was alive as I couldn't stand her voice or her manner. Like all of us, she was oh so flawed.

I often wondered while reading the complete rubbish over the last 6 months ( scroll back to August 08 and read some of the posters on here opinions of the "publicity stunt" her cancer was. ) And then weep for their sheer inhumanity.
It might, just might happen to them or one of their loved ones. Then see how scornful they are of this awful disease. It disgusted me then it still disgusts me....only three or four people have had the grace to publicly apologise and I applaud them for doing so.

I have lurked in horrified mode for a long time. I dont want or need the aggro of dealing with people who seem to lack any human feelings.She had an awful taste in men, but how could she know what a man was supposed to be like, their were no role models until maybe Kevin Adams, a thoroughly decent guy, introduced her to Jeff.
(We'll see how Jeff pans out, but I do like what I've read about him, particuarly how she was hell to live with but she was a great Mum ) and it's also great that Jack made her happy in her final days, I doubt they'd have lasted. Again, so like Di.

They were both flawed individuals due to their upbringing but to be permanantky slated (Jade) while Diana is deified is so wrong.

One thing I've noticed over the few eps I've watched is how many friends she had and how good she was with them. I can only feel envy as I moved around so often I never had friends from long ago.

But, amazingly, in the last months of her life, Jade Goody got my respect.


For somebody so many people hate, she's made quite a few converts. I never thought I'd say that...but in her last days I truly admired her.
