If Tess is having the baby in June they want need to replace her (even though i adore Alesha).
I do think Bruce will retire in the next few years though so he's the one that'll need replaced.
For my the worst case scenario would be Tess and Vernon presenting it together but unfortunately i have a feeling that will happen in the next few years.

They should replace Tess with Kate Thornton, she was far better than Tess on tour.

The only pro I could see taking a different role on the show is Karen, partly because she doesn't have a proper partner on the show so has less obvious reason to be biased, and partly because she has genuine judging experience which makes her a much smarter choice for the panel than any of the existing judges.

Would absolutely hate to see any of Anton, Vernon or Camilla having anything to do with the presenting.

I don't mind Tess, but I would love Alesha to be involved in SCD. Not sure how it would fit in with her music career, but maybe after she stood in for Tess while she has her baby Alesha will have a better idea of where her career is headed. I can just imagine a part of the results show where Alesha as singing presenter does a spot maybe involving a bit of dancing with the pros.

I cant see Camilla presenting.
She might be asked back as a judge though?
If Karen along with Camilla are both leaving i think theres going to be a major change with the pros. Anton is another one i cant see being a "pro dancer" for much longer.

Aww thats a shame - i'd have loved to have seen Alesha as part of the show (my tummy did a little flip when i saw the thread title lol) Not only do i adore her but tbh anyone replacing Tess would be a massive improvement for me. Saying that i'd hate to see Camilla doing it as well - i'm one of those that was happy to hear about her retirement.

I'm so glad this isn't true - I'd be reaching for the FF button too, her laugh drives me up the wall.

Well Alesha is as annoying and can't sing like Cheryl, which is a start I guess.

I agree - I'd much prefer to see her in the role than Alesha. Rachel Stevens would also be quite good I think.

I really took to Rachel last series but I think she might be a little shy for the role - Denise Lewis would good IMO- she seems to be very passionate about dancing and I loved her on the recent Comic relief dance programme

I wonder if they would want someone without presenting experience being such a huge part of their prime Saturday entertainment show though.

If they're going for ex-contestants Christine Bleakley might be a possible choice. A lot of the female contestants with presenting experience are a bit irritating- like Kelly Brook, I could imagine her scaring off viewers! If they wanted to replace Bruce with an ex-contestant, there are loads of male celebrities who could do it- my vote still goes to Aled

Tess may be replaced for many reasons (cost of salary, just a general change) but I cant see her not being back because of a baby born in June....pretty sure she would be up to working a couple of days a week by September (and thats assuming she has to come in to work for dress rehearsals on Friday)

Lord help us of Alesha does co-host it.

Love her to bits .. but the hero-worship of her on the boards would be just too much to bear .. the constant comparisons between her and whichever female celebs are on the show ...

That will happen whether or not she is involved in the show. The same way the female celebs are still compared to Jill in latin, and the male ones to Colin or Mark. They're among the best dancers in the history of the show, so it's natural to compare the new celebs to debate whether they stack up to the best, or whether they are setting a new standard.
