USB to Computer
I've spent some time studying the various posts relating to the use of the USB on this forum but I cannot find the answer to this question.
Can I, using a USB A Male to A Male connector connect my PC to the Foxsat usb port so that I can download/archive files directly to my PC? In other words will my PC, via the USB link, recognise the hardrive (or at least the files on it) in the Foxsat. Charlie |

@Shawbost
I would very much doubt it. From my knowledge of the PC world, you can not just connect a USB cable from one pc directly to another PC. Thats why PC world sell a special cable for about £30 with software. So my bet is that the USB on the Hummy will follow the same logic and unless someone has bult a special interface, then no. That is why I am waiting for the ethernet port to be activayed and hopefully, I can then stream data across the network to my PC from the Hummy

That sounds right - USB connections are either "hosts" (eg a PC) or "devices" (eg a memory stick). The Foxsat HDR is a host, and expects a device to be plugged into it, not another host.
