Perfect 60... skates last... told he's as good as a professional ice skater from the head judge... given gushing comments from the commentator... been top of the leaderboard every single week...

Jess and Donal may as well call a taxi now!

Ray can't help being THAT good I'm afraid.

I'd really like it be an underdog win.

Well we now have the best skater against the most improved.

My vote is for Donal because the whole point of this programme is to train someone and I think that Donal has improved dramatically and is a credit to the show.

Maybe that isn't so true because Jessica was outstanding better than Donal and she isn't through and if Ray wins it will be because he is so much better.

Avid skater since he could walk... Check!

Ex Junior Ballroom Dancing Champion... Check!

It's time for Ray Quinn on Dancing Farce on Ice.

Agree totally with the OP. Ray has been so far ahead of the rest from week one that for me it has not been a competition. If he wins then boringly predictable, if by some fluke he doesn't then it will be a travesty. Either way it means this series has not been a competion for me and for this reason I've not been fussed if I've missed an episode here and there.

Donal to win, because he's nice and he doesn't think he will.

Well, now this year's 'competition' is over, I wonder who they will manage to get to sign up next year .. any suggestions?

So ends the most one-sided non-series of DOI so far.

Is it Rays fault he was asked to do the show and was so good?

I don't care. I enjoyed the show and glad the best skater won.

Don't forget - Lisa Snowden scored a perfect score twice on final night in Strictly and still went out first. So no way was it a 'foregone conclusion' Ray would win. If the public wanted him out tonight he'd have been gone.

So they shouldn't have used him because he could skate?
They could have had Scott Mills instead.

Agreed, as said elsewhere, what a waste of a series, not to mention phone votes for anyone other than Mr "Jazz Hands^ Quinn, who has been dancing since he was three.
I wont watch again unless ITV take on board that all competitors should neither be a skater nor an experienced dancer.

And all deserved! He's been amazing since day 1 - he's been the only reason I've watched the series. I actually prefer watching him over the professionals - that's how good he is! A most deserving winner if ever I saw one.

Agree, he was the best there - it was the right result. Why would you want 2nd best to win?

I enjoyed the final, thankfully there were no really dreadful skaters (although it was getting close!) and I could sit back and enjoy.

Amazing final, best man won. Im glad Jess came third, just goes to show that anything can happen in a final, Donal definitely deserved to be in the final two with Ray

The final either needed some better competition - the people who came third in the last 2 series scored higher than tonights other finalists - or it needed a more competitive final that excluded Ray. The competition was between Ellery, Michael and Donal and Jessica, Roxy and Zoe but none of that competition is resolved and its all over by the final. It could have included Melinda and possibly Gemma too if Melinda had had a vote and gemma had performed to hype. If they put Ray in they badly needed a Clare or a Suzanne or a Duncan to chase him or at least a girl with more wow factor than Jessica to get closer on flying and wow factor in the final. When Roxy went and they then lost Zoe we were bound to get Jessica with too little excitement , Donal with a short journey, Ray with flawed brilliance or Colleen for nothing much in the final

They can only give us what they find though and in this series who stayed was distorted past the pont of destruction. The audience vote even managed to make the outcome worse at every stage by voting for Zoe in the QF (which perversely meant she went out in the QF dance off and we had no competition to watch between her and Jessica for the last 2 weeks) and then voting for Donal in the final (when only Jessica had any chance left of doing a Bolero to match Ray's) When the casting is dud, there are not enough good people , the best girls are too tall and the public vote is random and destructive tonight is what you get.
