Beware of this dreadful company.
My landline provider was transferred to Pipex who are owned by Tiscali. No disruption I was told, who are they trying to kid. My billing date was moved to 18th, did not receive a bill until 27th online, yet I received a letter dated 20th threatening to restrict my service virtually, if I didnot sign up to D/D. I had my service restricted without any further warning, by the time I could actually see the bill online it gave me 6 days to pay, considering if I had paid via a bank, it would take that amount of time to reach Pipex. Today I received a call from their credit control department, & no bill received, surprise surprise it looks like I'm going to have it all again this month. At this rate they will have no customers left which will only be a good thing. Tiscali should not be allowed to operate or exist IMO. |

This company's customer relations are a complete disgrace.
I am having a similar problem with PIPEX,I had my service restricted on the 8th March. I sent them a cheque by Special delivery. with arrived on the 10th March (Post Office tracking service),They claimed not to have received it. On the 17th March "paid by cheque" appeared on my Pipex Internet account page; the cheque finally went through my account on the 23rd. At the beginning I managed to have limited correspondence by email but since the 17th March, when I asked them to reconnect my service, they have ignored all my emails. Like mutleygold, I too was told to sign up to D/D; given their conduct, I would have to be mentally deranged to let them have access to my account!! |

If you dispute any DD call, you can contact your bank and TELL (not ask) them to reverse the transaction because it is disputed. |

i was with pipex yeeears ago and never had problems. how times have changed lol

Having had my phone restricted since the 2nd April & having paid the bill on the 6th & they are still charging for the landline rental, which in my view is theft; I am moving to another provider on the 24th.
Consumer Direct have logged the company on their files, I have been informed that PIPEX are in breach of The Supply of Goods & Services Act but PIPEX really aren't bothered; maybe they will when they have no customers. Please be aware of this company. |
