You get used to it SS.

I think the moderation is much stricter on the BBC boards as well. Threads are closed when they go off-topic or get argumentative.
I think 30 seconds here at times is long

Will you move over there permanently when SCD starts

I'm not that fast on the keyboard so I rarely get caught out by the 30 seconds rule on here - but 3 minutes!

3 minutes is long isn't it and even worse if they put you under pre mod

I know, most of the conversation will have moved on by the time they publish your post

That happens to me here now with a 30 second delay, so goodness knows what it will be like with 3 minutes!

I didn't conform to how some posters thought all posters should post/act/behave etc.

Will you be posting on the BBC boards yourself this year?

I sort guessed it might be something like that!

I tried to join a couple of years ago; I was told I would be sent an email to action (or whatever) joining, but email never arrived and I never bothered to follow it up. I might try again this year. I'm not one who likes to be told what to say, so perhaps I'll end up as a 'rebel' as well!

I tried getting on the boards once but nothing happened. I was told I would receive an email that I should use to confirm joining (or whatever) but email never arrived, and I never followed it up. Might try again this year - probably I'll end up as a 'rebel' as well!
Go on, join up, the more rebels the better

I like going off topic!

I don't see what the problem is really, especially if the original discussion has peter out! I work at home on my own, so I love a good chat with my online buddies!

The three minute delay is annoying, but I usually catch up on reading other threads or play Spider Solitaire while I'm waiting

I'll probably post here and on BBC boards when they start up again - I'm a bit fickle

Me too - my "away from the computer break", usually ends up chatting on ds!

And I can't see why going off topic is a problem. There's nothing to stop anyone turning the chat back to the original topic if they want.

As long as my husband doesn't find out how much time I spend on here I'll keep posting!

My hubby loves watching sport on the tv, I don't! So, while he watches sport I "play" on the computer!!!

I just find it very annoying so I doubt I will post there when SCD starts. I just like DS and the way it works
