Anita looked so much more attractive when she smiled. Before the series started she talked the talk, but sadly, when push came to shove, was too nice to mix it with the Debra's of this world.

Anita was too weak to fight her corner - so doubt if she would have lasted too long anyway.

She was in charge of adding it up. She did that well.

Nobody pointed out that they'd spent too much until it was too late.

The right person went. As soon as he announced which team won Sralan made it clear that the reason they lost was because they spent too much.

So her number one priority was to explain why it was somebody else's fault that they spent too much. Instead she actually claimed to have been rubbish on the task, but - of course - she'd do better next time. No matter how many times Sralan prompted her about COSTS she didn't have the nous to work out what to do.

It would have been easy peasy to shift the blame onto Mona for deciding that that was the stuff that MONA needed for the cleaning tasks that MONA had planned to carry out and MONA was keen to make sure everything came to less than £200 and she'd checked with MONA that she was happy with MONA's choice of equipment and xxxxx MONA xxxxxxxxx and xxxxxx MONA and so on and so on.

No business sense whatsover.

Debra is a good politician and will get so far but not win. Mona had better be good at something because she's no good as a team leader, no good at sales, no good at influencing people, no good at anything she'd done so far except stand up and have a go.

I agree with the comments about Anita. She was hopeless at fighting her corner.

The Apprentice seems to be more about fighting your corner - even if you don't have a case - than it is about being good at business.

I agree with that, it is about being good at spin and holding your own. Anita showed no initiative in my opinion - who of us in her role could have resisted making a comment about the huge amount being spent - but she could have argued her case better, as she really was not requested to do more.

First impression of the group is definately unfavourable, and Sir Alan should save himself the ansgts and fire them all now, and get some bods off the street instead. -nod

The idea of the suits cleaning is something as they don't look like real cleaners, and never would in a million years.

Pity there's no Lucinda amongst them, to soften the harshness of the group.

The winner needs to be more grounded, and 3 of them certainly aren't....namely; Noorul, Kate and Anita.

Mona unsure re the PM job, and her tone of voice, and facial expressions suggests she wants the others to tell her to take it. Why wait Mona, just do it, and the others will follows, but don't mess about girl! honestly!

If Debra really wanted it she would have said so with no hesitation, imo. Nick's chewing at end of his pen as he looks at the group. Good ole Nick, he's brill.

Anita's mistake was in making one daft comment and not being aggressive enough in the boardroom.

She should have targeted Mona's lack of organisational skills over and over again. After all, the very first thing Sralan said when they walked into the boardroom was that the task had been lost because they'd overspent. If she'd just continued complaining that Mona had no strategy set in place instead of being so defensive, I think she'd have had a much better chance of staying.

Smiling instead of wearing the expression of an elderly cat might have helped too. She's not half as bad looking as she made herself look with that dreary pout.

The Girls are a shambles and the look on Nick's face was a picture re their spent amount. The boys aren't that great either with cleaning. They even sprayed the camera!

Unsure if it's Mona or Moma....as I heard it both ways.

Car Cleaning at 16 quid a throw says Margaret....the guys outside Asda do it for a fiver, and you should ssee them work, much harder than this shower of wannabees, that's for sure!

The girls have no real organisation between them, at all....-shakeshead- I used to have to clean 12 caravans a day, inside and out and that wasn't a mean job I can tell you.

If the girls spoke less and worked more, they'd get the job done faster.

That was a good response from Mona, re being a leader, if one felt that way re being more autocratic, then why didn't one put themselves forward! The blonde didn't like that comment at all, did she. Had to be said though.

Boys did well moneywise, but shoe shine is a hit and miss affair, and you have to know your market, or where more people walk, like street corners, for instance, and catch people at that spot.

Overall impression of the Task section is that it wasn't impressive, and none of them knew what they were doing, which I suppose is par for the 1st day of the Apprentice!

One day Sir Alan might have some real people on his show, and not highly suited wanabees, who don't know what real graft is all about, roll on that day.

The Girls could have bought the cleaning products at Trade prices, and they would have saved a lot of money, also gone for any other discounted products, or samples, but it was all spend with them. -shakeshead-
