So I guess people don't trust Monty Panesar in the England side.
I'm confused. I would pick Adil Rashid.

And isn't "that Asian bloke" called Majid?

I know it was probably meant to be lighthearted but I disliked his 'jokes' with regard to women. If 'jokes' are made about asians/muslims then people are quick to level accusations about racism but if misogyny is intended then hey that's o.k....

I'm happy to give him the benefit of the doubt as it's the first show but if he continues in this vein then unfortunately he will confirm what some people already suspect about attitudes to women in the muslim community.
You took the words out of my mouth. From Majid I counted 2 throwaway remarks about women - one is a joke, two kind of hints at something a little more serious.

But early days as you say. I didn't have much faith in Raef until a few episodes in and I howled with fury at such a clever and gentlemanly contestant was fired.

Maybe the thread starter missed Mona's comment about the cars not being washed by stinky men i say hang them both
Or indeed the one, on being elected team leader, to the effect of 'we can do this cleaning thing cos we are women' So 2-2 but she's not getting pelters for it.

Yeah i forgot about that comment, so this thread is one of these 2 in my eyes.
1) Patronizing toward women ( after all we demanded and fought for equality) but yet our comments aren't taken seriously....

2) The problem si that the guy is Asian muslim.

I was thinking the same myself. Although I don't really want anyone hanged.
They were both light-hearted throwaway comments. The only difference between them is that Majid's comments were far funnier and amusing.

And it's a bit hypocritical to start a thread complaining about a person possibly being prejudiced by using the title 'That asian bloke...'

The assertion that his comments meant something because he's muslim and therefore is probably most likely a sexist is so ridiculous. How many series have we seen now where guys makes quips about the women's team and women about the men's? The only reason anyone would question it is purely down to prejudice. He's muslim - who gives one.
