First impressions
So here we are in Series 5!
Who looks to be promising for our future enjoyment this series? Already liking Mona although she's been given the most coverage already by far.Anyone keeping their eye on someone in particular? |

Loving Debra
What a stirrer! I am not keen on Mona though at all. Phillip is likeable and I appreciate how Howard was trying to get things right on the first task, so he seems alright.

Favorite at the moment is Mona, really don't like Debra. That's the only two I can really remember for now.

Can't stand Mona.
Liked Phillip, Howard, and the Asian guy with the beard, whose name I didn't catch. Nobody else really stood out one way or the other, although I thought the American girl was quite likeable. |

I Loved it.
I love Mona and Philip as people. But I love Debra because of her entertainment value. A real stirer. The only member of the males that caught my eye was Phillip. He's a character , straight talking. Good start to the series. |

Liked Mona, Phillip and one of the other guys who was either Rocky or his slightly taller brother who's name I didn't catch, or perhaps both of them.
Disliked Debra (in a Katy Hopkins, please stay around for a while, way), braces man, the male task leader who looked like he was going to cry - Howard ??? Heather Mills lookalike looked a bit of a cow as well Others - Yet to make a firm impression |

I already loathe Philip.
I think he's going to be very duplicitous, along with his sidekick who was pulling funny faces in the boardroom. Not keen on Kate either. Debra is like Katie Hopkins and Claire (last series) - not especially likeable but I think she could be very capable. |

Quite like Debra - lesson learned hopefully, don't bitch about your team mates however frustrating they are, they'll use it to bury you. One to watch, maybe one to love to hate long term. Amazing eyes.
Can't bear Moaner. Useless PM. Never seen a sales method like it - the abuse technique. Far too quick to bury others and backstabbing. Anita - wet lettuce. Would have liked Moaner to go but Suralan was right - Moaner is feisty and has get up and go, although I personally think she's an utter cow. Anita got up and went before it even started. Heather Mills - one to watch, think she's going to be a right bitchy mare. And what's with the mouths!!!! Very distracting and strangely fascinating all at the same time. Geordie - what a plonker, but will be entertaining to watch him bury himself. Angry man - Boys PM - what's with the permanently angry face? Issues? Tell you what, I only remembered the others existed when they returned to the boardroom. Have to say - credit due to the person who came up with the Alan Carr nickname for one of the girls. You'll know which one.

Interestingly, I liked Mona, although she wasn't particularly good at all, but disliked phillip, who was bloody awful. I didn't like Deborah, but I could well end up loving to hate her. The Muslim-y looking guy seemed ok, as did the Irish one. Howard did do that badly and the annoying and unfair comments from Phillip put me on his side, but I can't say I liked him.
The teacher on the other hand, the one who likes the sound of his own voice? Well, I don't like the sound of it. At all. |

I think she's an intelligent lass and very driven and hard-working, but her people skills (or lack of them) will be her downfall. You simply can't talk to customers like that. I was gobsmacked. |

There was a couple of them being overshadowed by the stronger characters, namely the one who looks like she's had her face put through a mangle, and the asian guy who made a couple of not very funny jokes.
Will be interested to see how they pan out. |

As soon as Debra is project manager, she will be a goner. She showed no respect for her half of the team and if she does similar whilst managing a project, the team will implode.
Philip also seems like an absolute two faced tosser; this year's Alex. Doesn't half give Northerners a bad name. Howard and Mona seemed pleasant enough. It's very difficult to gauge their capabilities at this stage but I don't think they were solely responsible for any massive blunders. |

Mona was rubbish with the initial organisation and 'strategy' aspect but when it came to the doing of the job, she was quite good. Her team fulfilled their contract in good time and did it well and then thinking on their feet moved straight onto something new and continued working right to the bitter end. Debra's 'team' was dreadful despite the fact they had the better contract, one that was laid out on a plate for them which just relied on them doing a good job. They didn't and as such lost it and then just kind of flapped about for the remainder of the time. I dunno why people are calling her the new Katy/Claire, they had ability and got the job done. |

The blonde woman - Kate - seems a bit of a backstabber on first impressions. I do hope she and Debra fall out soon.

As for the women:
Like Paula, but having seen so little, this is based mostly on her hair. And perhaps a sign of intelligence behind the eyes. Will I regret that one?! Mona was right to stay, but I don't think she'll get much further; a bit too abrasive I think. Unless she does a Saira, calms down and gets some allies. Debra is quite possibly the Celerier of this series. Perhaps she will get results though. I think Katy might be quite strong and also Lorraine. Yasmina seems ok, but I guess next week will tell all. And the men: Yet to decide on Phillip. Could be all bluff, but wouldn't be surprised if he's a strong candidate. I feel folks may cringe, but I like Ben. Howard seemed a tad ineffective and reminds me somewhat of Adam. I think the team will turf him out soon. I can't yet distinguish Rocky/James. I loathe the teacher already. A right plonker. |

To be honest, not too impressed with any of them at the moment. But it's early days. From the girls team I'd have to say Mona, don't remember any of the boys team though.

Good thread, always funny to look back at how wrong we were or weren't!
I like Debra. Can't stand the brummy. I think Mona is slightly mental. Dislike bull in a china shop Phillip, but think he might do ok. Think braces boy is an embarassing buffoon. Like beardy asian. Feel sorry for pub managing chavster, out of his depth and too eager to please. |
