Debra and Mona

Got the feeling they are both trying to be loud mouths

You see, this is the fifth series. Ruth Badger, Saira Khan, Katie Hopkins and Claire Young were all the loud mouths of their series and have all got media jobs from the show and became very famous from it. The contestants know how it works.

Debra and Mona strike me as two fame hungry contestants. Contestants who are thinking 'well if we don't get the job, who cares as long as we stay famous after the show and earn lots of money'. They know the way they can achieve this is to be noticed.

Just an impression I got. They seemed to be trying too hard

Oh and I can actually see Debra making it to the final two. We will be lead to believe what an improvement she has made over the weeks. She will be the Saira/Claire/Ruth/ of the series. She will be in the boardroom plenty of times where everyone thinks she will be fired and Sir Alan makes out that he will fire her and doesn't because she will be good entertainment to the viewers . Then, she will go all the way to the final two and he will hire somebody bland, that we didn't notice until week ten or something

I think they are both perfect for The Apprentice.

They have the required temperament (unfortunately).

The quiet ones always get walked over, even if they are quite efficient (Shazia from last year, for example).

I'm amazed the fact that Mona was arguing with the customer, practically calling him a liar wasn't brought up by Sralan.

I haven't seen the other series, so I can't really make the comparisons. I do think both Debra and Mona got a lot of screen time tonight. However, I think Debra is brilliant and Mona is the one that's trying too hard, in my opinion.

Me too. She didn't realise that if you are going to wash someone's car you need to charge slightly less than it's worth.

I'm sure that in previous years Mona would have gone (that remark to the customer was unacceptable) but it's getting to be a stereotype that the project leaders always get fired at the beginning so I think she actually was pretty safe.

Hi - first time I've ever posted!

But surely Mona showed no business sense. I mean, when Suralan went on about losing because they bought too much stuff, surely she should have pinned it on Debra for failing to secure the deal with 10 cars. She didn't pick up on that at all.

So far I like Mona, I was glad she was not the one to be fired last night, time will tell.

At one point I thought Mona was going to burst into tears in the Boardroom. Don't think Debra's laugh went down too well. At least the suit wasn't wasted as she got her wish to be back in the Boardroom. Could have gone so wrong for her though and thought she might have lived to regret her "bring it on" comment.
