the task was not about cleaning cars per se

It was a cleaning task

the contestants had to use their initiative to come up with cleaning proposals that could outshine the other group

do you have any interesting cleaning project that can generate enough cash within 10 hours with £200 budget

thread starter ?

Perhaps they'd have 'cleaned up' more had they gone into french polishing.

The earlier weeks are less about the tasks and more about getting to know the characters.

The buying task, the advertisement campaign, the one where they go abroad and the shopping channel challenge is where it gets really interesting.

They're not going abroad this year - the recession has hit The Apprentice! I hear they're relocating to Manchester and Liverpool for that particular task.

But yeah, the earlier tasks are always quite simple and give us time to get to know the characters. Last year's week one task was selling fish, and the year before it was selling coffee. Not particularly exciting but they get better.

Oh that's a shame

Marrakesh and France were the best episodes across all the series.

They're always good fun and usually produce the best boardroom moments (the kosher chicken debacle has to be an Apprentice classic).

That must have been disappointing! From Marrakesh to Manchester...

Not that Manchester isn't lovely, I'm sure
