Canary Wharf WTF?!
Ellie666

why do they insist on pretending they're in Canary Wharf, when you can obviously seeing them driving down the a40 thru Acton and everyone knows his offices are in Brentwood.

i know it's supposed to be "image" but i thought AMS was above that or is he trying to become more like Donald?

It's not even Brentwood, it's a TV Studio somewhere.

It's all filmed in Eastern Europe cos the sets are a lot cheaper.

You'll find that Sugar isn't the producer of the show.

I would rather see pretty pictures of London than Brentwood so I am happy to go along with the pretence.

I seriously believe he doesn't have a big say in the show. In interviews he always says things like "this is how the TV people do things".

Alan Sugar: Can't we have views of a market when it's raining?
Producer: Put it in the suggestion box, darling.

I agree. You can pick apart most "reality" shows and will find more fiction than you expect. Look for the disclaimer on the Top Model series for example telling us the shows judges spoke to producers regarding who to eliminate, but this doesn't effect the overall result of the show, translated to "the producers told us who was great on camera, so if we can find a way to keep them we will..".

I thought episode 1 was great last night. Loads of Sugar-isms "I'm as hard to play as a Stradivarius."

Apparently if you get a job as Siralan's PA you have to change your name to Frances (or Francis if you are a man).

90% of the viewers will have no idea what Acton looks like (o where it is)...to be frank, or care

Very handy for the A40 and a quick trip to the TV studios at Park Royal!

Next you'll be saying the Bridge Cafe isn't a real cafe!

(Actually it did look more like the television room in a prison in last night's episode with all those high barred windows!)
