I cannot understand why everyone and his dog raves about this predictable and hugely boring programme, The Apprentice.

I missed the first two series because it didn't at all sound very interesting to me. But a friend asked me to watch the new series (last year), as she thinks it's excellent, and writes her diary round it.

So I watched the first programme and boy was I bored. A bunch of no-marks battling to get a job at Sir Alan Sugar's company....

SO WHAT?! Big deal.

I steeled myself to watch the second programme but couldn't make it passed 14 minutes.

I then ditched the whole series.

Now the new one has begun, I was forced to watch part of the first programme, because I was at someone's house when it started. And HE likes it too.

I made my excuses and left.

Please, can someone tell me, what on earth is so appealing about this trash?!

Sorry but what television program do you find enjoyable to watch out of interest?

Why post on a forum dedicated to discussing our love of "The apprentice" if you don't like the programme?
Not very bright , are you.....

It's not to everyone's taste. Some people like it, some people don't. Simple as that really

Don't watch it if you don't like it - it is not compulsary - just don't moan about it! I love the programme

I don't watch Strictly Come Dancing or Prison Break or Casualty and numerous other programmes. Seems strange to start a thread about all the popular programmes we don't watch.

And I see the person has just joined DS March 2009 - just to have a go at the Apprentice? Weird.

Perhaps it's the guy who quit before the show start as he was bound to win?!!!!!!

I absolutely love The Apprentice - the tasks are getting a bit predictable now but the delusion of the candidates is comedy gold. I found last night a bit of a slower start than in some years but I know that in 2 or 3 weeks' time I will be completley hooked.

LOL, if I was to post about every show I disliked I'd be here all day.

A very pointless thread. If we all liked the same stuff the world would be boring.

I agree this first episode of this series was cr*p.

But I've watched series 2 and 4 and they were both amazing!

cheap T.V, Sugar gets publicity for his companies and cheap labour after and the BBc gets something for nothing.

If you don't like it, you don't like it,simple. It's not that hard. No one's forcing you to watch it, are they?

8.1m do - and what wouldn't ITV give for that!

It's far from boring, it's one of the very few shows that I am glued to the TV for a whole hour.

And as the above poster points out, 8.1 million people seem to like it!

This week's was boring though. There was just nothing there. Hopefully it gets more excited as the series goes on, and doesn't turn out to be like Series 4, which got tedious and repetitive. The first 3 series were great to watch throughout, from the first episode. But since last year they seem to be going on a low note.

Everyone is allowed an opinion and surely we shouldn't only be allowed to comment on things we like? This isn't an Apprentice appreciation forum and whilst I may not agree with the OP they should be allowed to post what they want without being told basically to f off. I'm pretty sure at some point everyone on this thread has commented on something they don't like that could have been easily avoided too.

But there's little point in coming on and condemning something completely as rubbish - what are people supposed to say to that? They should be more specific so we can have a proper discussion.

True , although the OP does pose a question at the end of their post?
