My Cat Died this morning...

Aww I can understand you being upset Bezzers that's a long time and I bet you can hardly remember being without him. Glad he was such a lovely friend to you over the years.

Sorry to hear that, and same to the OP as well.

There's something so painful about losing a pet, and losing that unique bond. I was devastated when I lost my cat as I had grown up with her through my childhood. Pets are like family members and it properly hurts when they go. All I can say is when I was grieving, I just thought of the good times we had had and the fact that I knew my cat had been loved and cared for and died happy. I'm sure you can say the same thing

that's a really nice idea. I actually had a portrait engraved in glass of him only a week before he passed away, it has pride of place on the mantle piece as a reminder. I hadn't realised at the time just how important it would be.
