Home shopping channel tasks - are they real/live?

Do the candidates tasks based at home shopping TV channels actually get broadcast? Has anyone seen them happening live?

Yes!

Can't remember who it was - but one of the boys last year demonstrated something on one of the shopping channels - not very well....

I didn't see it myself - but a lot of ladies on another forum I frequent spotted him and they were commenting on how bad he was/ didn't know much about the item he was selling etc.... - quite a long thread anyway - and then we saw the task on The Apprentice - and all became clear....

And I can confirm that they really did make ice cream too..... the farm shop (which makes its own ice cream for sale in their shops and other "exclusive" outlets locally) in the next village to me hosted them and the manager is on record as saying he didn't know how all them and their egos managed to fit in the same room (they really impressed him with how well they listened to instructions and advice..... ).

Their Toffee Apple ice cream is on sale in the shop - but the recipe had to be altered sllightly as the apprentices didn't get the proportions right (they didn't listen to what they were told ...) but i can say from first hand experience that it is gorgeous!!

It was the mini trampoline, he was screwing the legs on and well, he was holding doing it in a very unforunate place!

Which while getting a laugh, could have been easily sorted out if one if the contestants on the producers desk had simply told him in his earpiece to move.

The first series when Siara and James were in a pair they had to do this task; which was hilarious

Each time they have done the task its always been on Ideal World as you can tell from the on screen graphics. Obviously QVC couldnt be convinced to let them on there!

They are always so bad at that task!

I've seen this years's shopping task, although I didn't realise at the time. I just thought they were really bad presenters. I can only remember three of the people who were on, and they certainly didn't persuade me to buy anything.

I remember seeing one on IW and thinking that they were rubbish

can't see QVC allowing them on, but they do have Craig who is as good as any apprentice contestant

I would have thought the apprentice would shine on IW

I agree about Craig on QVC, he has been there well over twelve months but imo still looks like a novice.
