Celebrating the various art forms of dance and music, Bury Council have organised a variety of professional performances during the day including Contemporary Dance, Morris dance, Pole Fitness, Belly Dance, Folk Rock Band, Samba Band and Brass Band. Between these performances, a wide variety of dancers (age & styles) will be competing for the dance title in a dance off competition, winner of the singles and groups' categories win £100 plus a trophy.

The winner will be given the opportunity to perform their winning routine in front of the Danceclub2000 Strictly Showdance audience later that evening and receive their prize and trophy from Camilla and Ian.

The Radcliffe festival of music and dance takes place at the Radcliffe Piazza on the 2 May 2009, 12 – 6pm. The festival is completely free to spectators and competitors.

To enter the dance-off, contact Ruth Shedwick before 10 April, at Bury Council on 0161 253 5327 - email: towncentresteam@bury.gov.uk or you can enter online at Danceclub2000.co.uk

The Danceclub2000 Strictly Showdance event starring Camilla and Ian, will be taking place at the Longfield Suite Prestwich, 7:30pm – 11:30pm, later that day.
