I thought this thread would be a great idea for those of us (sure thats many) who are getting tired of the music on our radios, tv's today.
The idea is that we all share two or three artists. The only rule? THEY ARE NOT IN THE CHARTS!!! This is undiscovered artists basically unknown on our shores. Hopefully all of us are gonna find some new music we can enjoy because im running out of music to listen to.

Ok I shall start things of..

Sarah Dawn Finer

Big beautiful busty blonde Swedish soul sensation Sarah Dawn Finer is an incredible vocalist. When she sings live it's pure perfection, her voice simply glides. She started her career as a backing singer and was later offered a record deal. Shes so far only released one album but has another coming out very soon. I strongly recommend her. Heres some outstanding live performances..

Moving On http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6uhezzqJsKY#
Stockholm By Morning http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OfkzAG_hxm8
A Way Back To Love http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8rCkN...eature=related
I Remember Love http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2EsZhLEn3AU

Patricia Kaas

Heres one for people who enjoy world music. From France we have the lovely Patricia Kaas. She sings very much in a style of yesteryear. Think haunting piano, deep smokey vocals and melodys that will send a shiver down your spine.

Et S'il Fallait Le Faire http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I176a...e=channel_page
Une Derniere Foir http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9IhWS...eature=related
Piano Bar http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nfQgS...eature=related

Jazmine Sullivan

Now this is something for the RNB fans. I was in two minds whether to put this here because at the moment shes attempting to make it big on our shores and she very well will if the quality of her music is anything to go by. She is a breath of fresh air compared to the repetitive chart RNB we have to all put up with today. She mixes everything into her songs. Soul, jazz, electro, Reggae, classical (yes classical) and her voice is sensational. Husky, velvety tones. Like a mixture of Macy Gray, Brandy and Mary J Blige. Ive fallen in love with her music.

Lions Tigers And Bears http://www.vibe.com/news/videos/2009...d_bears_video/
Dream Big http://smartenupnas.com/2009/03/04/j...eam-big-video/
Fear http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C6Cfn9ZtpAw (one of my favourites from the album)
Im In Love With Another Man http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3IIF9IAQSnU#

So get sharing your singers people! I can't wait to discover some new artists. Doesnt matter the genre.. GET SHARING (down with chart music lol!!)

Roses Kings Castles- Adam Ficek's (Babyshambles drummer) solo project. He's made some really good, cute and catchy songs (and music videos), has a really nice voice and is self funded. His next album is being produced by Stephen Street so hopefully this will give him a decent push.

Here's Entroubled: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dHrH4...eature=channel - fantastic video!

And Horses with Bells! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=39i3s...e=channel_page

And Sparkling Bootz: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cbCUQ...eature=channel

If this isn't reason enough to entice you he is also cute as a button so check him out!

Wow I felt like I was like the only person who had heard of Karina Pasian in the UK lol. Winner is one of my favorite songs from her album. It must have felt really cool to have contributed those lyrics to that song. I love 16@War & 90's Baby.

I also am a fan of Jazmine Sullivan. I Love Lions, Tigers & Bears.

An artist I like is called Atozzio. A lot of the songs i've found from him are demo's for other people.
One of my favorite songs from him is 'Insecure'
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zuWfUBUmLS8

Check out somoe of his other songs.

Or let's just change that, and have some rock instead!

I like several Japanese bands. These four are probably the least known:

Malice Mizer

Moi Dix Mois

X Japan
(And no, the singer has not escaped from an insurance company)

Hizaki Grace Project

Recent Slovenian discovery of mine here (apologies for the cheesy video):

Laibach

And some Finns:

Sonata Arctica

You're either pissed or just a troll. If you've not got anything constructive to add, kindly f**k off out of the thread.

I'll suggest Yolanda Brown - http://yolandabrown.co.uk/Home.html

She is a very talented Saxophonist and just won the MOBO award last year for Best Jazz. I love her song "Just Say"!! She is working on her album at the moment, in amongst lots of touring.

Random fact, but she is actually studying for her PhD in my department at the moment at Kent Uni, and was so shocked when I saw her on TV at the MOBOs because until then I had no idea! Anyway I think she is definately one to look out for!

Here's two songs I like at the moment that aren't in the charts:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dFfPwNzzTlQ

This is by a spanish singer called Thalia. I only just discovered the song while messin around on youtube and procrastinating from studying!

I don't know if this has ever been in the charts but here's the linky anyway:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eIPaZ0V5f-8

It's "I Put A Spell on You" by Natacha Atlas. I like her style of music.

Here's some stuff I quite like

Uniklubi
They're from Finland, if you like HIM you'll probably quite like them, they sing in finnish

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-5CNSjy4rxk

The 69 eyes
Also from Finland, the singer kind of sounds like a gothic Elvis, they're also known as the Helsinki Vampires

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T5rh969E9oA

Tarja Turunen
Another Finnish act! a beautiful lady with a beautiful voice

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eaOZWD-3aYI

Deathstars
These guys are from sweden, I saw them as a support act in 2007, they put on a very good live show

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CWUmw2ITaFA

Anna Tsuchiya
This lady is from Japan, I came across her by accident on youtube

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gtpP9KvDu28
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n2zJc...eature=related

I know this is a thread about bands that arn't in the charts but I was very happy to hear that Rammstein's new album has got to number 16 in the album charts!
