Why oh why should we pay for episodes on itunes? Shouldn't it be part of the PSB remit?

If it's time limited, then there should be no cost. It it's for keeps, then that's probably why.

The Itunes ones are time limited.

While I know that re-couping costs is permissable, shouldn't we be allowed free copies of shows which are available on iplaye?

Basically, I disagree with the fact we need to pay for The Apprentice on Itunes, when it is still time-limited.

If we're allowed it FREE on Iplayer, why not provide free downloads to itunes?

Isn't there something that says that PSB should give us this sort of content for free, after all, we are paying for it allready!

The iTunes version is FOR KEEPS they are NOT time restricted. It's being sold there by the production company (Talkback Thames - Fremantle) NOT BBC Worldwide.

Why should we pay a lincense fee when everything is on BBC Iplayer for free?

Is the iTunes one charged for as the free iPlayer is only available to UK viewers?

The Apprentice isn't made by the BBC, so if you want the BBC to buy all the rights for it upfront they'd have to pay more for them. A lot more. Just as it would for all of it's programmes, and then the licence fee would be a thousand pounds a year.

The common sense alternative is that the BBC only buys a small window of rights, and then if you want a programme to keep forever you can pay extra for it instead of everyone having to do that.

If there wasn't a licence fee, there wouldn't be any programmes on the Iplayer to watch.
