Yes, I know. I was completely joking about the Rani returning, because usually someone will suggest a mysterious female is her in the midst of guessing who the character could be. I'm sorry that wasn't clear.

Maybe the Master needs Donna's timelord brain and will extract the knowledge from her? Hope Donna does come back and that the photo is the Master, but as much as I love Rose, maybe she shouldn't be back just yet...

To be honest id hate to see her com back again, the more she comes back the less impact her going again has, I thought S2 Finale was soo sad and the perfect way for her to leave, I wasnt too keen on her return in S4 but the scene where her and the doctor finally meet did turn out great, her exit in s4 was a bit of a let down to be honest and now I think her story has been wrapped and they should just let her be!!

I think the doc 10's final scene should be with donna if anybody.

And I know this is obscene speculation but what if the The Master isn't back as The Doctors final foe, what if he's actually there to help, not so much as a friend to the doctor but that they need to work together otherwise they will both be wiped out by a much greater foe. I know I dont have any reason to think this but there was some humane aspects the the Master in s3.

Haven't we hear somewhere about the final foe being called or having reference to 'The Gate'

It is disputed whether Simm currently has bleached blonde hair, so it might not be. It does look a lot like him, but I won't get my hopes up fully to we get a profile shot.

I don't think it is disputed at all. It was reported on OG a few days before these pictures surfaced that JS was seen in a supermarket with blonde hair. They also have a pic of him on OG out with his family with blonde hair.

This might clear things up. One of the crew also has blonde hair and looks a bit similar but a side-by-side comparison shows they're not all photos of him.

Am I the only one who hated Simms' 'Master'.

Probably not, no - but whether people generally love or hated his Master, the truth is he was written very well. He was a direct equal, opposite and paralel to David Tennant's Doctor - which was the original premise for the character back in the 70s.

And for that reason I loved his portrayal. The story (particularly Last of the Time Lords) did let him down, though. Hopefully, this time round, he'll get his hands dirty into some dark material.

Reading RTD's first quote in this Times interview fills me with confidence that DT's sendoff will be far from being a light-hearted affair.

I was gonna bring this up back when the last of series 3 on 07 I was looking around forums I remember people hating the Simm as the master. Looking in threads on this forum over that last year I always got the feeling Simm wasn't liked as the Master. But looking through this thread I guess I was wrong most people liked it.
