Don’t know if you DS posters have been keeping secrets from me or maybe I missed the post but Skype is now available for the ipod touch.

I believe this was posted in the Mobile Phones section about it being available for the iPhone, which of course in turn makes it available for the iPod touch as well.

You would need an external microphone to make it work on thr iPod Touch.

True.

I have not tried the voice contacts yet. When you click (touch) the call button you get a message to plug in an ear/mic phone. I have got one round here some where and when I find it, I will try it.

I am using the chat services which are working well on the Touch.

You missed the iPhone fanboys ejaculating about this then?

Did you not know there have been apps in iTunes for months that enable VOIP on the iPod Touch?

I did know about other apps but all of my family use Skype.

I am a bit old fashioned and only use my mobile for voice calls and text so don’t follow the posted in the phone section.
