Sharp Aquos problem

Hi

I have a Sharp Aquos tv and have just started getting a blue haze on the picture, can anyone help me rectify this.

If it's the effect known as 'solarisation' then it needs the software upgrading.

Depends who does it, I believe SharpServ (the official Sharp service company) charge £170 for coming out.

Essentially it's a 15 minute job with a laptop, a special lead, the binary file and HyperTerminal.

Ouch!!

That's an astonishing amount for what would seem to be a design fault (i.e. it can be fixed with a software upgrade) and an operation almost anyone could perform. Compare that to Panasonic who "fixed" the purple snakes for free.

same here..but ive also got another problem only lasts for a second but i get a thick black line right in the middle of the screen it normally comes after the TV has been on a few hours and theres no real pattern but in the course of the evening it appears at least 6 times.
