Two weeks ago I decided to record the program Click from BBC News. I believe it is broadcasted quite late (after midnight).

Unfortunately the FOXSAT-HDR has so far failed on both attempts, with no reference in the recorded history (no partial recording or so).

Would there be any reason why the FOXSAT-HDR can't/won't record this program? The program does shop up on the schedule for the upcoming broadcast, again.

Asumming you used series link. Try an experiment delete the existing series reservation and add a one event reservation to see if it records just the one. I assume you have opened the folder for click that should be auto created

For some reason the BBC refuse to include the Programme CRID number for this and a few other channels. The Series CRID number is transmitted thats why the recording Schedule updates to the next weeks slot without recording. As a workaround select the programme from the epg and then select "record single programme" then press the yellow button and scroll down to 'Click' reservation and press yellow again. Scroll down to repeat and toggle with the OK button to select "weekly" then click the ok icon.
Alternatively you could possibly watch when transmitted at 11:30 sat morning or 15:30 sat afternoon

I've also had problems in the past Series linking this but, as GaseousClay and alan.w suggest, have been able to notice and set up a different time to catch it.

I've found recording it at 4.30 in the morning (not sure which day) now seems to work regularly (well has done almost without exception since February).

Other than that I'd second setting up a weekly timer, which is the solution I've used for a couple of other programmes which don't seem to repsond well to linking.

Hi Jimmy are you saying that your schedule for 4:30 (which I believe is the sunday airing) is a series link cos there doesn't appear to be a programme CRID for this slot either, or is it a manual recording with a "weekly" repeat applied to it? (this can be checked by going into schedule and scrolling to the reservation a repeat schedule will flag up in the top right hand corner under the green 'All Channels' text)

just for info the saturday 15:30 airing doesn't have Programme or series CRID data

they seem to produce two versions .. short and long.

during the ady they often go for the "short" version to allow coverage of breaking news.

There's not often breaking news at 0430 ... and if there is the people overnight seem happy to wait for 23 minutes !!

Or you can watch it on iPlayer.

Its about time they filmed it in HD .. it would make sense to show a show about hi tech on a Hight tech channel

Yes the short or even cut for coverage on breaking news is a pain or even a big story but thats where iplayer is good
