My mother in law has just donated us her old Viewsonic 32" LCD, model N3246w to use as a second telly in the bedroom. The freeview tuner and remote both seemed to die at the same time so she's replaced it with a gorgeous 42" LG Plasma, not that I'm jealous...

But now we've got the viewsonic home, we can't get our PS3 to display at all (and it's the only device we want to connect for now, may add a freeview box at some point). We've tried it through HDMI, composite and even put the composite leads into a scart adaptor and tried that. No picture on any channel, using any of the inputs. The PS3 was set to output through HDMI but we obviously can't check that or change any settings until we can get it to display...

Is there anything obvious we're missing here? The menus built into the TV are very basic, and I don't know how to access the service menu. Basically I'm out of ideas, does anyone else have one?! Thanks
