Hmmm.... Yours started at 21:00, mine at 21:01, would have thought they'd have been the same.
Heheh, I like the thought of ITV providing a belt & braces approach with their own internal padding ![]() ![]() ![]() I think, but don't know for sure, that the Freesat & Freeview EPG, EITsched, EITp/f, are maintained entirely separately, from the comparison testing I've done on HDR vs 9300 AR performance. But, I don't know in what way the Freesat ITV W/C feeds into the Freeview systems. Interesting thought. Rgds. Les. |

LesU... Interesting - I'm ITV Anglia (S) - this happened with about 10-15 mins to go to the end of the program - so may have been transmission fault??
I did a reset anyway - if your HD still not working for next program (at 9pm tonight?) you may need to the same |

This is utterly weird. I now can't get any ITV HD. Just tried it and both ITV London and Anglia will not let the red button work. I cannot believe it is purely a box fault, because two different machines did exactly the same thing at the same time. Is it something that ITV are sending that is screwing up the machines?
As I said I have, and the Spanish property programme was OK tonight in HD. Seems there were a few others affected by the broadcast glitch last night ....another example here... http://www.joinfreesat.co.uk/index.p...#comment-10870 |

Getting worried now, just replayed Natures Fury from the beginning and now it's a blank screen from 45 mins and no fast forward, despite being able to play to the end earlier.

Powered off the stb and went to bed. Powered on this morning and the programme is again working and I can again play the file all the way to the end. At the time of the problem other than the black screen at 45min the stb showed no sign of a lockup. The remote control would back up from the 45 min position and other files would playback. Any ideas ? |

Powered off the stb and went to bed. Powered on this morning and the programme is again working and I can again play the file all the way to the end. At the time of the problem other than the black screen at 45min the stb showed no sign of a lockup. The remote control would back up from the 45 min position and other files would playback. Any ideas ? There is definitely something wrong with this file ![]() In my post #23, I had checked it by watching the start was OK, and skipping that section at 45mins as I used the keypad to go 00:59, to check from there (i.e. that Start/End were OK), and everything was OK(picture & sound). We haven't actually sat down and watched the programme yet. Having seen your posts this morning, I've checked it again. I fast forwarded it from 00:40 to the end, and it "appeared" OK (picture & sound OK at the crediits, which I played), but I had noticed some pixellation/breakup around 00:45. So I went back to 00:44 and let it play normally. It played OK to just after coming back from the ad break, to where the firefighter is cutting down/kicking the bush by the house aircon unit. It then went blank, and wouldn't play any further. Now when I try the play it, there is no sound whatsoever right from the start. I can fast forward through, or keypad over, and still get picture to the end, but if I play it from 00:44 it will stop at the same place as before, but still no sound. I've checked other recordings from various dates/times, and the sound is OK. I switched the box off for 1 min and turned back on, but still no sound on that file ![]() I'll try leaving the box off for longer, before switching back on and trying again, but maybe it has to go through its overnight housekeeping process as yours has done? I'll post back later. This is most strange. Rgds. Les. |

My ITV HD blanked at about 40-45 mins into the programme (Nature's Fury) - crew 7 were chopping trees down in someone's rear garden then one of them was kicking a bush then it went blank - if this happened to us at the same time then there was a signal glitch which the Humax can't handle and it blanks out ???

..............There is definitely something wrong with this file
![]() ............. 1. By keypadding, I don't mean using the Skip, or FF, keys to go over the offending position or to the end, I mean pressing the numeric keys, e.g. 0044 + OK, to go to position 00:44. 2. Graham, by switching the box off, I meant putting in Standby (non-power saving), not switch off at the back - which did you do? I must learn to be more accurate in my descriptions, apologies. I'm, almost literally, being dragged off to go shopping, as I type. I'll pick up when we get back. Rgds. Les. |

I only used the fast forward and rewind keys, I turned the power switch off. However when I checked the file this morning I did not bother turning on the amp. Following another post I checked with the amp on, sure enough no sound but perfect video. Pressing the audio track button a few times restored the sound
![]() Brought the box out of standby (active standby, as it had started recording), but the file still had no sound. Graham, I have to admit that I didn't even know about the audio track button , I hadn't even programmed it onto my Harmony remote. So I dug out the HDR remote and tried your trick, 1 press of the Audio Track Button + OK brought the sound back - thanks, you're a star ![]() After a lot of playing with it, sometimes it will stick on the presenter closeup, after the "cutting down the bush" scene, for quite a few seconds, then jitter & pixellate, then carry on with perfect picture & sound to the end. Other times it will stop with a blank screen as before, I have to stop playback (it will not react to FF/FRW etc), Play from start, and do the Audio Track trick. I can't see a pattern as to when it will, and when it won't. There is definitely some corruption around that point, that sometimes it will stutter over, and sometimes it won't. I guess this corresponds with those posters who lost HD at around that time, and have had to factory reset to get it back. Something in the ITV HD transmission stream must have been corrupt, or caused a corruption. I haven't lost ITV HD capability like they have, though. My wife had set the Spain programme last night, unknown to me (how very dare she ), and it recorded the whole of that in HD OK. I've tried to sample that prog at regular intervals, but I haven't actually watched it all through.Hmmm..... If this corruption causes the box to lose ITV HD stream capability (if it can be directly linked to it), unless you are recording, is this a bug? i.e. should the box be able to handle it more elegantly, or is it outside the control of the box - I'm not sure? Rgds. Les. |

Rgds. Les. It seems like ITV+Humax need to get their act together on this one. If my only safe approach is to record all HD broadcasts, then I won't be watching a single advert. On reflection, maybe that is the best solution![/i] |

Grrrr.... Had the HD football cut out on me yesterday near the end. Still blank screen today.
Just had to do a factory reset to get it going again. This is after noting down 25+ recordings that I had set up for rescheduling. I am NOT happy. |

I had the black screen during the football. However, I was also recording the match & the recording was not affected. ie no black screen, the recording was complete. However, when I turned the box on later, it would not boot up & required the power to be switched off & on at the wall socket. Never done that before. I did not need to do a factory reset.

Same here. Tuned in to watch the footy and on pressing the red button got the black screen. Managed to get the sd picture back by pressing the blue button twice. Havn`t been able to receive any ITV HD since.
Does a factory reset clear out all recorded material or just the scheduler? |

Hi!
This will sound dumb, but please be kind! I had freesat+ installed last week, and had the same problem as mentioned above when watching the football on ITV HD. Since then, ITV HD refuses to function. Having read the comments on this forum, it seems the answer is to perform a factory reset. However, as a technophobe I am a little concerned about doing this, as I am worried that I will delete things I shouldn't! Can anyone give me the benefit of their wisdom please? Many thanks. |
