If anyone has set up The No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency to record on BBC HD, it won't work this week. It's been bumped by the golf. It is normally simulcast with BBC1 and the BBC1 broadcast is being transmitted as usual. I don't know whether this episode will be transmitted on BBC HD at a later date, or whether it will be skipped altogether.

The listing in Radio Times is screwed up, BBC1 says Ladies Detective Agency is simulcast on HD, BBC2 says Golf is simulcast at same time. BBC HD listing says golf as does the epg

Friday 17th at 9pm is the HD version being broadcasted, so 5 days later. In my opinion worth the wait, to enjoy on HD!

Yes programme 5/6 is on 17th, and 6/6 is on Sun 19th.

If you have it on SL, as I do, with the Timer sitting in the Schedule on 05/04, it's worth checking say Mon 13th that the Timer has picked it up. It should, but where human intervention is present in keying the correct Series CRID into the Data Tables, it's prudent to check. Both BBC & ITV have been known to put different Series CRIDs on progs after a weeks break for some event or other.

In fact, I've just put a reminder in my Outlook Diary to check this prog's Timer, & Jonathan Ross, also bumped by the golf. (Paranoid, or what? )

Rgds.

#1LDA & JR timers on BBC HD both correctly moved to next Friday after the golf break with correct Series CRIDs.

Well done Auntie Beeb

Yup. I've got it set up as series record now. I didn't quite trust Auntie, and didn't want to risk losing the recording, so I had set up a BBC1 recording instead. But, I do like Africa in HD, so I've now gone back to the HD series. Perhaps I'll have more faith in Auntie in the future.

Does anyone know if the last one will be repeated (not on HD)? Been recording it every week religiously for my Mum, and last night the recording failed after just 22 minutes

No, I'm afraid, and mine recorded OK.

BBC HD do tend to repeat things relatively quickly; Being Human, and The Green Green Grass, were repeated almost as soon as they had finished, Yellowstone is repeating already as well.

I checked on various TV websites and I can't find a repeat date.

Whilst I was Googling, it came up on lots of Torrent websites if you get desperate; it would be a shame to miss the last episode of this great series.

@thebitchisback

Repeats starting on BBC HD, as above, in case you still haven't watched the last prog.
