I cant belive they allowed that mess to be the prototype.
It really looked homemade and it had such potential.

Did the same firm make both prototypes? Cos one looked the business, the other was awful!

They should have just stuck with the original idea for the bingo wings and kept it simple, it's when they tried to make it a multi gym it became a mess. The design itself was tacky, the box looked cheap and nasty and down to the product design rather than the idea from Ben, although his input for the designers was doodles, scrappy and ill thought through.

I thought the body rocker was great. Simple, stylish, effective and easy to store.

Does anyone really buy the whole 'coming up with a product in one day, prototype manufactured overnight, next day John Lewis orders 10,000'?

I mean if anyone could seriously launch a product from scratch that quickly then Sir Alan would be hiring them on the spot.

It defies credibility.

They didn't discuss production costs but I doubt you could make the box any good with a retail price of only £29.99 - it would hardly be robust and just be made from cheap plastic and wood. The other design would have been easy and cheap to product- it's just a slab of plastic attached to a heavy weight.
