I seem to have underestimated her.

Although she didn't secure 20,000 units for exclusivity she almost certainly helped them along the way, nobody else was saying anything during the pitch.

Instead she secured 10,000 units for the same amount of time with John Lewis.

I think the win was largely due to her, definitely a hot contender this year.

Even if she does look a bit like she's going to have your bollocks for breakfast.

What do you all think?

I love Yasmina so far.

Yeah, I agree. Halfway through last week's show, I had her down as an early boot, for being too hot-headed...but I've changed my mind since

Yasmina's strategy seems to go in high but she goes too far.

If I remember rightly, someone once got fired for promising exclusivity when they didn't have the authority to do it.. clearly Suralan has changed his mind about that!

I can't remember who the previous candidate was, or even what series it was in - does anyone know?

It was Lindi on the ice cream task but they had already made offers and signed deals with other companies.

This time the deals were not going to be signed until later so they could offer exclusivity if the other two didn't make big offers.

I agree, Suralan said Lorraine and phil had a lot to do with the win but i thought the same as you.

I agree there, she certainly does appear to go in too high. However, she appears to know exactly when to do so as both times she has it's paid off.

Keeping in mind of course that John Lewis was the last retailer they pitched for.

She's my new fave and it usually takes me at least 5 episodes to pick one lol.

I think it was Jenny last series. The one with the dark hair. I think she was Irish/Northern Irish.

No, but I do remember it happening - pretty sure it was last series; but I think the difference was that on that occasion, they were harvesting the produce of local farmers or something like that, rather than their own product that they'd made themselves...so ethically, it wasn't fair on the people who made the product.

Or something like that...

I like her. Not terribly nice - but totally dynamic and resourceful. I reckon she'll be the token "superior woman who loses out to bumbling, idiotic male in the final".

I think she has great potential. I can see her getting to the final five.

she has shown an understanding of what is required to win the tasks and can't think of many others so far

She got lucky there as she made a bad offer which could have cost them the order. She did not negotiate the exclusivity, John Lewis raised the possibility of it I assume because they were impressed with the product. Debra's answer, although it could have been phrased better, was the better response. That they would discuss it as a group and then get back to them. Much more likely to come up with better figures then.

I am fan of Jasmina, I thought she did a good job as PM last week but she did not think that through. She just came off with figures and time periods off the top of her head and could have cost them the order.

She's okay, but somehow I can't see her lasting for all that long.

She did get lucky, but at the right time. That's business though i suppose.

Not especially charismatic, but she's willing to take chances and seize control of situations.

I did think it a bit rich that she claimed Debra wasn't much fun to work for. I don't remember Yasmina being a barrel of laughs as project leader last week.

I'm struggling to like any of the girls so far, but Yasmina is probably the best of the lot.

I think she's the stand-out so far, to be honest. First task and you'd barely have known she was there, and 15 minutes into last weeks, I had her down as a total pain in the arse who was going to go early. Then suddenly it all clicked. Early days but I suspect she'll last a fair while.

She did not need to do it though, the product had already interested John Lewis enough for them to raise the possibility of exclusivity which was what was going to give them the grounds to ask for a big sale. If they had discussed it as a group they probably would have secured the order without the risk of losing it by going with a realistic offer. There was no need to risk it. I think she panicked and just said the first thing in her head because she did not read the situation.

I really like her so far, I hope she lasts a while yet.
I think she's pretty hot as well.

I spotted her as my standout candidate in the very first episode. She was on Mona's ar cleaning team and led the negotiations with cleaning the classic cars and I thought she had a great energy about her and was impressed with the way she approached and spoke to the 'clients' - until Mona took over and ruined it.

Yeah, you're right there, she did panic. Nobody else was going to say a word though, well i can't speak for them but I'm pretty sure nobody would have.

I agree that it was a risk that could have easily collapsed under her and it was largely due to luck that they accepted it by half the amount. Re-watching that bit on iplayer at the moment and you're right about Debora. Although, i don't think they had time to converse about it?

I could be wrong though.
