I noticed him congratulating two members of her team in particular and he doesn't usually do that. It served to emphasise that he didn't say "well done" to Debra. He doesn't like her. Guess what, neither do I! I'm sure that next time she's in the board room on a fail, she'll get the boot.

The producers will make sure she doesn't go just yet!

Debra doesn't bother me.

Yes she's trying too hard to be ruthless, but that's because it's early days and she wants to be noticed and feared by her rivals.

In time, I'm sure she'll tone herself down and do well.

Its one thing being "ruthless" and another being unnecessarily vindictive and catty (as she was towards Lorraine in the boardroom).

I think she'll be brilliant in stirring things up I hope she doesn't go at the expense of candidates who may have better potential though.

Can't see it myself I can see her getting to the interviews which would probably be the highlight of the series.

I'm not sure he wants to fire her or not yet, obviously, but I do think it was quite interesting that Siralun made a point of praising Lorraine and Phillip saying that those two were the reason their team won.

Of course, she is a big character at the moment so will probably be kept in to stir things up.

I think he spotted Debra's setting Lorraine up for the fall as soon as she came in, as did many of us, then Philip jumping in to defend Lorraine, hence the pointed comment towards her and Philip and the end. Philip's product idea and design were superb.

Debra will be kept in for a while though, the producers will see to that. She's nasty creates conflict and they like that.

Did i watch the same programme? I don't think Debra set-up Lorraine to fail, she simply said the truth (this time) that Lorraine gave her all and was so pushy about wanting to do it that Debra gave it to her, but wasn't as good as other members of the team would have been.

I didn't like Debra from the first eppy and am still not sure about her now, but credit where it's due, she seemed to man-manage the team quite well.

And as for the "race" controversy, knocking aside how she reacted and the rights and wrongs therein for a moment, she was spot on to squash the idea if she, as project manager, disagreed with it.

Lastly, I don't want her to go, because I suspect a frission of chemistry between her and the Iranian beauty And if the want to add Mona and the redhead to the mix, that would be fine with me too.

Perhaps Surlyalan could make that a task

Sorry agree with most of the above but I personally feel Debra's management style is command and control in the extreme which does not work apart from Football Teams, Retail Stores and building sites!

She reminds me a bit of Clare from last year and I think SAS will grow to like Debra.

I must admit the company I currently work for (a direct marketing company) is a bit like that too, but I've now just about persuaded them that it is very definitely not the right way to manage me!

Sorry, don't agree. When Clare was given the team leader role she craved, she did step up to the mark well and played it much better than Debra did. I didn't rate Debra as a team leader at all. She was the unpleasant, back-covering, "I'll let you do it, but on your head be it" kind of wimp leader that really isn't a leader at all. Clare actually was manager enough to stand by her decisions. Debra is not. If they hadn't won, she would have been blaming Lorraine for forcing herself into the sales pitceh instead of taking the responsibility for allowing her to do the sales pitch as a good team leader should.

She's rubbish and should go, but I agree she will probably stay for a while longer. I can't see her in the final though.

He probably would love to fire her, but she's way too valuable to go just yet. She's cornered the bitch market completely. None of the rest of them have a patch on her (though Yasmina showed promise when she was pm). Mind you, she didn't call anyone a puppet.

She's making great TV, she's going nowhere just yet.

I dont think she'll last that much longer - take Jenny from last year. She was vile and everyone expected her to last ages but she went out half way through.

But in all honesty, it doesnt matter when she leaves, just because they'll line up a new villain to replace her straight away. Last year everyone had a go - Jenny, Michael and Helene - as well as Alex, Claire and a few others being mini villains.

Wait for them to line up the next baddie - im thinking Yasmina will get the bitch card bad when Debra leaves. (I think Yasmina will be in this for the long haul)

I don't think they've been going for long enough for Suralan to make his mind up about them.

Jenny C was pretty incompetent so the wonder is that she lasted as long as she did. She was lucky not to get fired on the laundry task. However, apart from that she avoided being in the boardroom until the Morocco task, so she was actually fired at the next opportunity.

Debra, in my opinion, is a lot more competent than Jenny C, and in task 3 was probably the best leader we've seen this series. Yasmina was also good, but she was dealing with an area she knew well, and Debra was further outside of her comfort zone. Yasmina could just force her own ideas on everyone. Debra had to take on board other people's ideas; Philip's won while her own idea fell by the wayside. OK, Debra isn't perfect; she micro-managed the photography and let Yasmina take over negotiation with John Lewis. But she's loads better than Jenny C.

Nor is she as bitchy as Jenny C. We've not seen her brow-beating anyone; nobody reduced to tears like Lucinda was. Her comment about Lorraine in the boardroom seemed entirely honest and fair to me. I have to wonder if it was Philip who was manoeuvring there, because I didn't think Lorraine's pitch was very good.

She has a very domineering and hard personality but she hasn't been that bad has she?

Don't a lot of folk understand the show, it's the opposite of Big Brother characters stay and imcompetent ones go.

I don't think she was vindictive towards Lorraine. She was asked how well Lorraine had done at pitching - before they knew the results of the task. If she'd have said "oh Lorraine was fantastic, she blew everybody's socks off" and then the team had failed to secure many orders - she would have looked a rather deluded project manager - could even have earned her a firing.

What she said was absolutely correct. Lorraine put in maximum effort - but the results were very clearly questionable - the pitch, or what we saw of it, was nervous, shaky, a bit patronising and just not very professional. They got the orders because it was a pretty product.

That said, Debra didn't exactly shine as the project manager.
