I felt really sorry for her tonight. Don't know why!

There's just something very endearing about this lady.

I loved how Phil stood up for her in the boardroom - it made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside!

Yeah I agree, maybe its just the anti-Debra in us though

(although I do quite like Debra but in a love to hate kind of way. I'm a sucker for a bitch in reality TV shows )

I can't stand Debra (no surprises there, I know! lol). Of course she has to go at the earliest opportunity and had they failed that task, it was her choice to put Lorraine up as sales person even though she kept moaning about Lorraine. Debra would deffo have gone if they had lost.

LOL. I felt the same. Though I also kind of felt like she was being used as a tool in the editing process - to make Debra look like a bitch and Philip a "top bloke!"

Worked though.

I like her. She seems nicer than most of the candidates - and kudos for putting herself forward, and also for having a fairly workable project idea which was swiftly stampeded over with judgemental glances from the others.

I agree. She is quite endearing. I kind of have a feeling that she could go far as well, and I've had that feeling since week 1. I know she wasn't great at pitching, but neither was Lee, and she wasn't terrible either, so I'm not prepared to write her off just yet.

I agree about Philip too. It was quite refreshing to see someone stick up for another candidate instead of being a sheep and trying to pin the blame on the most vulnerable person (which is something that happened quite a lot last year). He totally went up in my estimation.

I thought her pitching was pretty good

Better than I could do anyway

Bet she now wishes she slept in her bra though after the opening scenes

I'm reserving judgement on Debra at this stage.

I think she's trying too hard to be...well....."hard" lol

She's just trying too hard to prove herself. I have a feeling she'll settle down as the series progresses and the numbers dwindle, and impress us and Sir Alan.

I like her too.

She tried so hard to give a good pitch, bless her.

I liked her pitching as well. It came across as a bit cheesy but at least it was memorable and it got orders for over 10,000 so she can't have been that bad!

I got the impression that Debra was deliberately setting her up to be the fall guy if they failed and she was planning on blaming Lorraine and the pitching, you could see her calculating it when her original practice pitch was awful and she confirmed it with that comment in the board room, setting up her stall. Good on Phil for standing up for her and rightly so, she did well. Phil's grown on me a lot in tonight's show. I felt sorry for her because I knew what was coming if that team copped it, Debra was going for her jugular.

Another fan of Lorraine here She seems like a lovely woman, who wants to put all her effort into a task.

Though I do like Debra too as it looks like she could stir things up

I know what you mean - I was thinking that girl should have some support and not have those boobalubes out of control during the night - I was looking out for them later but under clothes they are quite well behaved.

She seems like a nice lady, but her sales pitch didn't half make me cringe!

Kate came across far more naturally, imo.

I find myself nodding vigorously at every post you make Rose!

I've certainly had a change of heart regarding Phil. He's one of my favourites now

Yes I thought that was Debra`s motive too.

Loved the way SAS said well done to Phil and Lorraine just before they left the boardroom

Have a sneaky feeling that was SAS`s intention

I loved that bit. Obviously SAS had noticed too, let's hope he makes a mental note of that. I doubt he'll get rid of Debra anytime soon though as she's a 'character', as intended by Debra I reckon, trying to be another Katie.

Me too, as it clearly was NOT a good pitch.

Debra's breed of people is dead.
its people like her caused this entire credit crunch.
im not suggesting for a moment they do away with boardrooms and all have a group hug and sip herbal tea..but people like her are being fired daily in the City.
IMO I think someone like Lorraine is going to win the show the days of the ballbreakers is over.

Hers didn't sell though. A true businessman/woman should be able to sell anything to anyone

I thought that, but after tonight I reckon Ben is the new Katie.
