Actually, I felt Lorraine's sales pitch came across as sincere and was more self-assured, which in itself may have inspired greater confidence in the product.

She's a breath of fresh air actually. For me its a rare thing to actually see a candidate who I "like". Fingers crossed she goes far....

The fact he thinks he is some kind of body builder is pretty laughable as well

I felt sorry for her at the beginning when she clearly wanted to be PM but her team really didn't want her to be.

Words, mouth, removal directly therefrom

'based on Lorraine's pitch to us we'll see about maybe reassigning that to someone who's maybe more confident' - even before she's done her audition she then does a dismal audition - 'it's portable - what I mean by being portable: you can carry it!'

Haven't seen You're Fired yet but I'm sure Adrian had a few words about that

But that doesn't stop her giving Lorriane the job, then telling her she (Debra's) feeling nervous about the pitch before Lorraine goes into the first one.

Yup, I noticed this too. Given this was only the 3rd task, how on earth can they be skeptical?

Hehe I know, 'specially looking at the podge he's got going on. He may be 'fit' but being fit and ripped are two different things lol. I hate people who have to bring other people down to build themselves up, the people he picked on weren't even that bad. Bet he wouldn't of felt so good with Phil in his team as he's got a more athletic figure than him and is taller too

Why would you feel sorry for her? She did great!

You won't be feeling sorry for her in a couple of weeks though...believe me.

She reminds me of Lucinda slightly, minus the beret.

Hmm..not really..it doesn't give away anything relating to how well/badly she does. "A couple of weeks" was just used as an expression but that could be next week or near the final...I don't know the time period.

On a purely superficial level, Lucinda had a sense of style about her, Lorraine's just shabby.

She is winner material - she ticks the boxes. Inspires no real dislike, is pretty straight, stoical and will not turn people against her through being attractive.

im not suggesting for a moment they do away with boardrooms and all have a group hug and sip herbal tea..but people like her are being fired daily in the City.
IMO I think someone like Lorraine is going to win the show the days of the ballbreakers is over.”

... yeah, the private sector's loss is health and education's gain. One of these harris-holes are gonna be strangled by a teacher or nurse with a lanyard some day.

Lorraine is the 'ugly Betty' of the team, no disrespect. I like her. I totally disliked how Debra treated her.

Don't know about the winner, but she's been quietly watching and taking everything in. When she does get to project manage she'll have them all sussed.

No doubt thanks to Nick...

Although I too have found a new appreciation for Philip especially after defending Lorraine, he shouldn't have given Katherine Jenkins a standing ovation.... not after THAT version of Hallelujah....

I was so pleased by Philip and Sralun's acknowledgement of her effort this week. I don't know if she's got what it takes, but I'm rooting for her over unpleasant Debra. C'mon Lorraine!

Yep she's got the likeability factor. Not sure she's going to be sophisticated enough for Sir Alan though. There's something a bit amateur about her.

I like her - she's an endearing character, a welcome antidote to the likes of Ben and Debra. I admired Phillip for sticking up for her as well. I do genuinely hope she goes far.

Absolutely. I liked Lucinda and thought she was treated quite badly on some tasks. OK she was a bit loopy, and wore some weird clothes, but she always looked nice

Definitely. I think because she's been quiet and sat back a bit, Debra thought she was easy pickings.
