They basically said he was ugly which IMO is true, but that's mean.

Slightly, but he does little to endear himself to the viewer.

I understood both Yasmina's points, but tact and subtlety are not her strong points.

I missed this - who said that and why?

And anyway - there are quite a few in there this year who look like they've had a serious few slaps from the ugly stick themselves - nearly every last one of them if you ask me!

I thought he was the wrong colour? I expect he could understand why they'd want Mona rather than him for their ethnic representative.

I can't remember word for word. But Mona started it off by saying she didn't want him. Then Yasmina said we have a better looking guy, why didn't we ask him instead.

Who's Noorul? Oh yeah, him...

I'm afraid the world of advertising is shallow and ruthless and looks, including colour and the target market will always come into it. Yasmina could have been a lot more tactful about it though.

Next time he is in the boardroom he will be gone

Apart from the first week when he suggested Carpe Diem as the team name (which was turned down), I can't remember him saying or doing anything. He is more of a passenger than Majd was. If he ends up in the boardroom he will go unless he does something astounding.

I don't care or notice his colour/looks.

But if he was a science teacher, then I am embarrassed!

Rather more unkind than untrue

I do, he just has one of those faces.

I don't think he cared about being called ugly though. He isn't anyway, and Yasmina 'no lips, lantern jaw' is no-one to call anyone else ugly. He seemed to take it in his stride.

I don't understand who made the original decision to have him in the poster with Mona though? Mona was right, Philip is better looking, and anyone could have seen that. Mona was already a cert, having been an model and all that!

I do feel sorry for Noorul, its always hard for anyone to hear that they are not good looking, but why put him in that position in the first place?

Noorul seemed to take the comments on the chin, so good for him I understood what Yasmina was saying, but I agree with others - she should have approached it more sensitively.

More miserable looking than ugly.
Not ideal to sell a product.

I find him very attractive, much more so than Phillip, who in my eyes isn't all that! Would anyone give him a second glance if he wasn't on TV? Good job we're all different I suppose!

I think putting him in a poster with Mona was madness. She's gorgeous and he looks like a vampire with his sunken eyes. Philip was a more sensible choice but then again who buys home fitness stuff like that? Generally chubby birds like me so why not just have one person in the ad to fool me into thinking I could end up with bod like Mona just by eating cake sat on a bum board while watching TV

Agreed...if Maj got fired for not doing enough, Noorul will get fired for not doing anything. Remember Nick is watching him

Oh my, he's lush.

And yes, I felt sorry for him. I wish we lived in a world where people didn't have to make considerations about 'ethnic minorities' and representation. Yasmina's completely tactless - I think I like her least of all the candidates so far.

He is no pin up but tbh I don't think he is fugly beyond redemption. Personally I don't get why people seem to think Mona is so gorgeous, Yasmina looks better than her imo.

I think for advertising gym equipment, it's not so much his looks as the fact that he's kind of puny-looking.
