Has anyone else been given a date for the update? A couple of weeks or so ago someone wrote they were told it would be early May by Humax support, I believe it was the 7th?

I am just curious as to whether anyone else has been told the same thing? I have to say that apart from the UI etc, the single most irritating thing for me is the inability to delete whilst recording and the time it takes to delete.

No. I believe the last post from Bob_Cat on the subject, last week, is Here post #5.

This has been covered in other threads, and all we know for sure is that a release, when it comes, will not include iPlayer. That is likely to be implemented in the next release. Esimates on timescales now appear to be June-ish.

Kind regards

June!! Timescales slipping then. First it was April then May and now June. This is what happens with no competition. I think there should have been an interim release way before now.

Not everything needs to be fixed at once but I feel there could have been more support fixes released than so far. People say Humax are good at fixing their products so I really hope this is going to be true when the update comes..

I'm assuming nobody outside of Humax knows a real date yet.
Can I make an appeal to Humax, based on one of the guesses here? Please don't make the update the 7th of May or any day in that holiday week or Spring Bank Holiday week. If I have a lot of things set up set up to record, it will be during those weeks. Who knows what an upgrade will do to the box?
I was away on holiday when Sky did their famous 'upgrade' last year. I came back to a non-functioning box. In fairness to them it was well outside of normal vacation times.
So just a general rule for the timing of software releases. Stay away from the popular 'away' weeks.

I also hope it is not before 8th May as I will be on holiday then too.
can anyone tell me what previous updates from s/w 1.00.01 have fixed as my box is on that s/w, despite having bought a new one.
it must have been early stock at the dealer.
I do have problems with series record and missed recordings on a Monday.

Holiday dates!! You guys are kidding right. An update is never going to avoid everyone's holidays, so Humax, if your watching, ignore this rubbish.
I'll just be grateful when the release comes. I hope June is a pessimistic prediction, but if we expect it late & it comes early, we'll all be grateful.

Regards

Nick
