Good Friday is neary upon us and it is forbidden to eat meat!

I suspect that the majority of people will be tucking into their good old bacon sandwiches and steaks though!

I will not be eating meat but not for religious proposes. Kind of because I never have on good Friday. I can still hear my mothers voice in my head forbidding it! So I will feel guilt. Plus my partner wouldn’t be too happy either.

Besides I like fish so I won’t go hungry!

Anyone else? Will you be eating meat?

Fish is meat, I dont understand why other meats other than fish would be forbidden? though I guess its to do with religion, so it wouldnt apply to me.

I've no idea as of yet what I'll be having for today's dinner, let alone tomorrows.

I'm tempted to drive into Amble and buy some fresh fish from the boats....

Just because I fancy a good bit of fish...not because of anything else

I wonder what religious dogs who don't like fish do...

We always had fish on good friday when I was a kid as my mother is Catholic.

I now have no religion though so I'll eat whatever I like.

I'll be getting my dinner down the local and they have a salmon dish I'm quite partial too... so, yeah, very possibly.

I don't eat fish, so not sure what I'll have.

Then again, thought it was a catholic tradition - and I'm not catholic

They've just been talking about this at work. I've never heard of it before today.

Then again I haven't really talked to people much for the last ten years, so that probably has something to do with it.

As an atheist vegetarian, I will not be eating meat or fish, but for moral rather than religious reasons!
