Ben is a brilliant character hopefully he will stay near to the end.
You need baddies to make a good reality tv show.

He's a wannabe baddy though and as a consequence he's spoiling the show as opposed to enhancing it.

Maybe for some people but some people love to have someone to shout at while watching the show. If you look at the forum he has got everyone talking. I don't like the guy myself but I can understand that the show needs him to stay longer for good ratings. In real life Alan Sugar would have sacked him but he understands that it is a reality tv show.

You are absolutely spot on: there are so many neanderthal twerps like him here, it would make you want to cry. Mouth full of marbles accent (most people from NI don't talk like that) completely clueless, but thinks he's a real man-about-town. I do hope England gets to keep him!

The only conceivable reason he's still in is because he's ratings-friendly and makes -- for some people -- good TV. But please, someone, put him out of our misery in the next fortnight.

He was so rude and arrogant I wanted to slap him! But I guess he makes good telly viewings. I find this programme is becoming too predictable. Felt sorry for Paula but she did make a very big mistake.

NI people sometimes get it wrong when they try to talk posh - Ben did it when he asked someone if they would like some 'nice fresh home-made soup' (or something to that effect) - the word he was aiming for was soap I presume.

I am having a crap day but that just made me cry laughing.

I've only seen this show once (last night) and he's a complete knob. Not only is he rude, arrogant and delusional, he's not remotely good looking.

Lee from last year on the other hand.

His likeness to a rodent is certainly uncanny. In fact I think he's slowly morphing into one.

Haha, I love the rodent picture!

He needs a good smack in the pants!

I don't hate him. I just find him a complete idiot. He's no Katie Hopkins is he, who was a real villan.

To put it bluntly, Ben does have balls - and therefore some business accumen. However, it is his own level of stupidity which feeds this. He's so lacking in the brains, that he's less fearful.

There is direct correlation bewteen a person's level of awareness and level of fear. How scared is a child of most things? In comparison to adults, bizarrely brave.

He's one of those people who shouts louder in order to win. But in reality, it looks like he has so much growing up to do.

In last week's task he acted as if he was gorgeous as well, and he also has a scholarship to Sandhurst.....?

Methinks he's just plain clueless.

It's possible Ben is a better salesman than Michael and that might keep him in the show but I can't see him winning. He's far too confrontational to actually win the show. But he has a certain entertainment value. He's so unlikeable he makes good tv. The boring candidates of the Apprentice rarely make good tv.”

I didn't like Michael last year, but I did feel sorry for him as well, as he was so clearly out of his depth. Ben is just an odious plonker, who has shown nothing so far to make me feel sorry for him. He has a bit more spirit to him than Michael. I can't see him begging for example!

Ben seems to be almost universally detested and he's managed it a great deal quicker than Michael did.

I thought Michael was much better entertainment value than Ben, although that may change.

Really? Why does having balls equal business accumen?

He is vile and repulsive. End of story.
From the way he talks you'd think he hadn't even been educated. Vile vile vile.

Yep and he looks like a ferret. His verbal diarrhea is not only irritating in the extreme but extremely ill mannered. He did not give Paula any opportunity to defend herself with his constant 'Let me finish.' Given the opportunity he would never have finished - probably his verbal diarrhea is equalled only by sexual performance.

Cannot stand him.

Agreed, he's very much needed in the show, he's a total prat; arrogant, obnoxious, self righteous, opinionated, and rude, but it makes for good TV imo.

I watched it again last night, and it is obvious that Ben deliberately kept himself out of anything to do with costings, and then was pleased that they'd made a mistake, thus allowing him to absolve himself of all responsibility for anything other than mixing. He is a thoroughly nasty piece of work, and the sooner SAS realises that the better. In fact SAS said what Ben had done (or not done) was a "crime". Surely a "crime" is worse than a mistake! Wrong decision! Paula would learn from her mistake. Ben will learn from his "crime" - to do it again!
