I love Subway but I can honestly say they have NEVER had everything I ask for.
We are 2 adults, 2 kids and they either don't have cookies (for kids packs) or coffee, or the right bread for the kids sandwiches and so on - and I'm talking about the past couple of years here.

I still go regularly though

I once bought a sarnie from there as I was given a buy one get one free voucher. The sarnie looked nothing like the poster in the window.

it was somewhere down london, bit far for me to travel from yorkshire, also i cant stand subway food, so one story in one restaurant is nothing for me cos i dont like subway! lol

You have to be careful there. Subway is not a huge amount healthier than them, and as people think they are a lot healthier, they tend to eat more because they don't feel as guilty compared to if they had a big mac. E.g. A 6" meatball marina has more calories than a big mac.

I've never been, but that's mainly because I don't like salad and everything seems to have salad on it!

Why do some people rave about Subway?

Its a bloody sandwich for God's sake!!!

I'm afraid the saddest people in the world (to me) are the ones who'll spend their entire lunch break queuing up to buy a Subway sandwich and a Starbucks coffee - and have little change from a tenner for what is essentially very mediocre fare............. well, apart from the Starbucks coffee, which is rank!!!

Having said all that though, if the only choice was Subway or KFC - I'd be breaking Subway's door down!!

On second thoughts, I'd just wait and eat later!

Lol 'tis true

To be honest, when I go out for the day down the highstreet, I love to see a varied "menu" when I get peckish at lunch time, instead of just a Mc D's or KFC.

Where I used to live when I was in college or just out and about shopping. There would be:

StarBucks (which is gross anyway lol)
KFC
2 Mc D's
Subway
Pizza Hut
Fish 'n' chip shops
Bakerys
Cafe's
Wimpy
Burger King
Sainsburys
Ice cream shops
Restaurants

all sorts....I loved it there so much to do

You don't have to have salad though lol you pick and choose what you want.

Na if you don't want salad you don't have to have it, or you can specify what you want. I always get jalapenos, pickles, lettuce and onions. Yum yum.

I rarely get a foot long, but if i do i wish i could have different things on different halfs! lol

I have a veggie pattie on a sub and i enjoy it but when you are paying £5 for bread something is wrong, you can go in KFC or McD's and get stuff for half that price and its also a lot more filling.

Subway simplify the Deli experience for people too scared to go to somewhere decent.

I agree, it's very expensive, thankfully my favourite sub is 'Sub of the Day' sometimes, which is a good deal

You are only paying over £5 if you get a whole sub plus drink etc....I usually get half a sub and a drink which is about £3 in the one here.

A whole sub for a veggie pattie is £5 , that does not includ drinks or a cookie. Yes the Tuna sub of the day is ok but again you can go to a family run bakery and get one for cheaper than £1.99.

My local Subway scores 5 on the food hygiene scale, which basically means exceptional food handling standards, so I am quite happy to buy there.

The guy has been sacked. It's safe to go into Subway again. Bloody hell.

Christ. Get some perspective. It was a one off incident in one Subway out of hundreds in the UK. Do you really think this sort of thing happens in all Subways across the land.

I'm surprised you are posting in this thread, of all people.

Sick!!”

It was done to death on DS at the time. It was an isolated incident which could have happened at any takeaway.
