My local Subway scores 5 on the food hygiene scale, which basically means exceptional food handling standards, so I am quite happy to buy there.

Christ. Get some perspective. It was a one off incident in one Subway out of hundreds in the UK. Do you really think this sort of thing happens in all Subways across the land.

It was done to death on DS at the time. It was an isolated incident which could have happened at any takeaway.
