The title of the final episode in the Tennant era has been supposedly revealed. As I can't remember to use spoiler tags, I am not going to mention it. But if you want to know what it is then look at ITV's Teletext on the Entertainment pages. Can someone please remind me how to do spoilers?

That's the novel that certain elements are supposed to be borrowed from. Seems an odd choice to dramatise a novel rather than write something new for Ten's last outing. I'm presuming that if this is true then they've only borrowed the scantest elements from the book and written much more into it (like the regeneration and all the other rumoured character returns).

having not read this novel can someone provide a rough outline please?

"Beautiful Chaos" is a Wilf-centric novel that gives him a lady friend called Nettie. There's been some speculation (from me for one) that the character June Whitfield is playing in the finale will be her.
The books plot is actualy a sequel to the Tom Baker story "The Masque Of Mandragora" and could in no way be even roughly adapted into anything resembling what's been shot over the past couple of weeks.

It's a direct sequel to The Masque of Mandragora, which would seem a some what unlikely choice for the final 10th doctor story. As DICKENS99 pointed out, it's likely teletext have added 2 plus 2 to make 5.

I very much thought of the thread I started and StCoop mentioned the name of that book in that particular thread, when I read this on Teletext.......
I finally got to settle down for a good hours reading last night and finished Beautiful Chaos ..and I must say it is a great story -Wilf centered as has been said but Ten's confrontation with the enemy is a great scene.Ten and Donna are brilliant in this story..
Personally I quite like the title Beautiful Chaos sums up DT's and RTD's contribution to DW very well.
but it's not a Christmas two parter story though I don't think.This book is a pre Journey's End adventure apart from a few present day bits where Wilf thinks of the Doctor alone ..
