*sigh*

I'd been hoping it was just him and the Noble's returning but it looks like it's going to be "Everyone AND The Kitchen Sink - Take II" after all.

Bracing myself for the inveitable sighting of Old Big Teeth any day now.

why should RTD break with such a winning formula perhaps RTD has given the kitchen sink a bit of a spit and polish and thinks the viewers can be duped a second time around.

wondered myself if it is only a matter of time before Rose is spotted.

Rose wouldn't be the silliest suggestion surely? Given her relationship with DT's doctor...if she's not there, (which I hope to god she's not, leave her alone RTD!) I can't imagine her grief were she to ever find he 'died' without her knowing....

However I am upset to hear of the probability of
Spoiler
Sarah Jane's
appearance, I can't stand the woman. We all knew
Spoiler
John Simm
was going to stir up as much trouble as possible though, so I suppose the kitchen sink figures....either way RTD might need to use a smaller sink or it's not going to fit in the tardis.

Unsure about how I feel about this to be honest. When HE was spotted at filming I felt sure that Jack would be around in some way, even for a smaller cameo type - given that they have history from the last time, but I can't understand the reason to bring them alllllllllllllllll in again. I'm hoping for the non appearance of Rose - and that's coming from a BIG Rose fan - just because it's doesn't have any impact any more.

That being said, if these are just tiny 1 scene cameos, eg he goes to the house, somehow stops her getting involved then leaves, I'm okay with that, I just don't want another 18 companions all conveniently getting to the right place for the big moment, then all flying the darn TARDIS home again..... it won't mean anything, and they'll all have to be got rid of by the time Eleven appears surely....

So we can add Tommy Knight (Luke) to the list now too.

Damn. Damn. Damn.

don't worry RTD can sort that out either by someone getting new magical Harry Potter powers and flicking a switch or pressing a button, we get the big emotional farewell all over again and just at the last minute DT regenerates with just the vision of Rose....

I've defended RTD so many times over the past four years but I have to say I'm feeling pretty disappointed right now. (Especially with Freema dropping none-too-subtle hints of a return too.)

If they bring Martha back I'm going to hunt RTD down and kick him in the shin. I *hate* her. grrrr

Damn.

Spoiler
I hated last season's finale because it was so over-stuffed and like someone said, everything and kitchen sink was thrown into it.

It can still be epic and wonderful without bringing back everyone once again. I just wanted Donna.

If I say "Mickey Smith" do I have to leave the thread?

Awww, I was hoping for a "Donna-centric" deal for this finale, but it looks like it could be the lot of em!

Ditto!

I think for once they should leave them all at home because it's like all but the obvious one had their goodbyes from the Doctor. Kill some of them off...

Right bunch of moaners on this thread!!!
I am sure RTD knows exactly what he is doing, after all Dr Who is more popular now than it has ever been, which is all down to RTD, he knows how to make good telly!

I think its fine if he throws everything into the mix for 'his' specials before he hands over to Steven Moffatt. Donna; Martha; Rose; Sarah Jane; Captain Jack; Sally Sparrow etc etc etc, it gives something for everyone to look forward to. No doubt there will be 'fans' who will look forward to the return of SJS...her spin off show is very popular!

Personally I never liked Rose, but I'd be fine if she returned to Dr Who again. It's only tv, entertainment.

There are more important things to get upset about than the return of a fictional character.

Anyway, am looking forward to any Who, and will welcome a change in direction for the show following the departure of RTD.

I have to agree Less is More IMO.
Or is this to tie in the new doctor with the older characters so we dont go through that again of 'hello im the Dr' etc.

It was something to look forward to LAST YEAR when it hadn't been done before. (And I've no problem saying I liked the S4 Finale just fine.)

It didn't need to be done AGAIN.

My only concern about Sarah Jane is going to SJ Adventures would be ok except many in the the older audience don't know anything about this show so may well feel left out in the cold when DW suddenly goes to Sarah Jane's house this Christmas specials? ..and if the Master is there it sounds like it's more than a cameo in the story?

Of course could be RTD is somehow returning to Journey's End -yet where does the Master come in to that scenario and of course I don't think many will be feeling that strong about a Davros/Daleks return -haveing last seen them what will be just two episodes ago tomorrow .. and how can David be centre stage if everyone returns .Nah has to be something new I think can't be a return to Journey's End surely ..

Aww I just need to stop being concerned about spoilers that are being found out totally out of their intended context ...need to just trust that this is RTD's farewell -and he'll have no intention of anything less than brilliant for himself,David and Ten in the Christmas two parter.

There were rumours that the Master was going to be in Journeys End, maybe they were totally false but if not you could be right with your idea of returning to the time of Journeys End.

Maybe we will see what the Master was doing during that time like we saw the Autons and Sycorax from Eltons point of view in L&M.
