would like to know from those people that have the sony

KDL 32W5500 WHAT THE PICTURES LIKE IN SD ON THIS TV .WILL BE USING THROUGH SKY . NOT FREEVIEW .

HAVE SENT TWO PANASONIC TVS BACK OWING TO POOR
QUALITY IN SD .

It's a good set, and has an excellent BRAVIA scaler - but make 100% sure you're using RGB, it makes a HUGE difference.

I only ever connect mine up using the HDMI lead. Is it advisable to watch the sky SD through the scart and just leave the HD channels for the HDMI?

As stated above very happy with the SD on this TV but even happier if it is better still through RGB

Try both and see which you prefer, but you didn't mention you had Sky HD - so I didn't know HDMI was an option.

Always worth a try - also try it via HDMI with the Sky HD box set to Auto, this leaves the TV to do the scaling - with it set to 1080i the HD box does the scaling. The scaler in the TV is probably better than the one in the HD box, so it might be better for you.
