Flush Wall Mount Sockets?
Iain Chapman

Hi,

I'll aplogise now for the lack of 'technical terms' in this thread.

The two speakers supply with my stereo system (supplied several years ago), have no sockets on the end of the cables. Instead you've the bare-wire, which you insert into a spring loaded 'clip' on the back of the stereo unit. Everyone with me so far?.

Now, I'm looking for some kind of wall-mounted socket with a similar arrangement so that I can put the speakers on the wall tidly....

My thinking is that I'd run the cabling up, inside the wall (this is easy), and 'terminate' into a flush wall-mounted socket. This socket would then have some kind of connectors, thus allowing the speakers to be connected. This would also mean that is the speakers weren't in place (and there are reasons as to why which I will not go into), then it would look tider than just having two cables poking out of the wall.

So, everyone still with me.....do you know of such a connector, and where I can find it please.

I had a quick look at the RS, Richer Sounds and Lektropacks websites - without any luck.

Thanks for your help.
