No, not in the UK. They had to adopt that in the American series, because Trump would generally fire whoever the team complained about the most, and as they always complained about whoever happened to be team leader, the team leader was almost always fired. It became such a poisoned chalice that nobody would take the role without a bribe.
Sugar is much better at Trump at figuring out who is to blame, and (in my opinion) actively avoids firing leaders if he has an alternative. (Eg firing Majid instead of James in week 3.)
