after seeing her in planet of the dead, does her performance make you want her as a full time companion next year or not, i'd quite like it personally.

She did seem to me to come across as a Lara Croft-lite companion.

No No No No No No No

Partly because of her, and partly because I hated the character.

Her character was good, but her acting, totally pants. Lee Evans for companion anyone?

For all the people that said Miss Ryan couldn't act, and would be terrible.....

NAH NAH NA NAH NAH

I thought she did a bang up job - would love to see more of her in who

Personally, I didn't like her. I felt no empathy towards her, like I did with Donna, Martha and Rose, she wasn't very likeable in my opinion lol

Totally agree!!

Personally I thought she was awesome, but I couldn't see her as a full time companion. Plus the romantic interest thing is annoying me, a companion that doesn't want the Doctor would be quite nice.

YES!! Lee for companion! He was superb..I really like him anyway, but I didn't think he would do such a great job!

I thought the character was very good but agree that the acting was bad bad.

Even Freema could have done better

well seeing as to the generally negative response to my suggestion it's doubt the BBC will bring her back, but whoever they bring on as companion next year, they better last more than 1 season, i'm getting a bit fed of companions only sticking around for 1 year then leaving.

Yep - she reminded me of the character played by Liza Goddard in Bergerac (the Ice Queen I think, she stole diamonds, and was also very classy), a proper match for Bergerac, just as Christina was for the Doctor.

Am I the only one who didn't like Sally Sparrow?? There's always a suggestion that she should become companion after every episode it seems

Nooooo!!! She was bloody awful. So hammy. I blame the writing as she was clearly designed as a Lara Croft figure but is was just as cheesy as hell. Not all Michelle's fault I admit.

The awful Elizabeth Hurley in Bedazzled accent only added to the badness. As did that ending with the flying bus.....

Well Christina was a lady, meaning she must be a time lady, meaning she could be the rani, who as we all know is secretly Sally Sparrow

I quite liked her (but thats probably cos i've had a thing for Michelle Ryan since her Eastenders days ) but I don't think I would like her as a full-time companion. I get tired of every companion having a thing for the Doctor.

Was very impressed with Lee Evans tonight, I wouldn't mind him being the new companion. Would be different with a male companion.

Or Sally Sparrow. I love Sally Sparrow!

Never say never, Moffat's in charge of series 5 and she's worked with him before on Jekyll.

I liked her, but as only as a one time companion. She's too similar to the Doctor.

Catherine Tate/Donna Noble. Was not liked on DS at first, how she proved them wrong.

I really don't think the BBC care for people on Ds' opinions.

It's true.

Donna just showed that marvellous things can be done with good writing and superb acting!

Though I have more faith in Catherine Tate's ability and range than I do in Michelle Ryan's.
