I thought Lee Evans was fantastic. But should he have more cameos or leave it as just POTD?

I loved his character, but I think one episode was fine for him really...he got his wish, bless him. How could he top that?

Loved him! Absolutely hilarious. I hope he comes back, permanently as an earth based sidekick would be great or even a new companion - gotta be better than Michelle Ryan.

I hope he gets more cameos in other episodes

How many folks picked up on the "Malcolm" bit, I was PMSL when he said his name....if you've ever seen Lee live you'll know why!

Methos.

Hear Hear - he was just great - made me laugh

Didnt mind Michelle Ryan , she just played it as this character was written really - wouldn't mind her coming back

But Lee - OMG , so funny and just sparked off DT perfectly

More please !!

The occasional cameo could be amusing, but probably no more than that. He was certainly funny and a highlight of the episode.

Im betting you see more of him after Dt's departure.
U.n.i.t are a different feel about it tonight I think they are setting the tone for future.

I don't think his character was gurning in the slighest, although I accept that lee Evans himself often is gurning in other parts.

I actually thought overall he played the part in a more low key manner than I had expected, apart from the last scene with The Doctor. He wasn't really all that over the top at all, and quite softly spoken.

A pleasent surprise for me.

I cannot stand Norman Wisden therefore a clone even though it is scifi is unacceptable.

Norman Wisdom ( not wisden, that's something to do with cricket ) is one of Englands iconic comedians.
For you to not stand him, must mean you lack any sense of humour. He could make people laugh without resorting to swearing, tell stories about religion, embarassing members of the audience. etc. etc.
Lee Evans is a big fan of Norman Wisdom, and part of his act is a homage to him. he is also a very good serious and comedy actor.

No, you're not, I thought he was awful (I'd heard of him but nothing more beforehand but judged on this - no thanks)

I thought he was great. I loved the idea of the Malcolms and Bernards and his conversations with The Doctor were fantastic - wouldn't we all be the same? (well apart from the science bit in my case!!)

I also enjoyed his meeting with The Doctor, it was entirely what I would have expected from his character, completely overwhelmed to meet him! I think if I met the Doctor, I'd want to be super cool, but would be Malcolm!!

Lee Evans was brilliant in this episode!

I thought he was good in it, and would like to see him and Mogamba again - they're a good double act! (memories of the Brigadier & sgt. Benton). According to "The Sun" today - they are considering a spin-off series for him(!?). Believe what you like.

I have to admit, Lee Evans was very good. I did have reservations but I was proved wrong. Whether I'd want him as a regular is a different matter though.

Whilst I wouldn't be in a hurry to sign a petition to have him become a regular character, I would be very happy if in an episode set in the future someone was measuring a rift in Malcolms & Bernards.

No, you're not the only one. It's cameos, and performances, like this that drag DW back towards the "Kids show" level.
