she was absolutely brilliant...great attitude too with a good outlook on life.

See those weird looks she got from the audience before she started singing. great performance, i was thinking this isnt going to be another Paul potts type moment but it was. cynical sods, Amanda yes that includes you.

Amanda was no different to everyone else I'm sure, and she had the grace to admit she was wrong.

she was spectacular. Thought she was mining at the start. Unbelievabe voice. So pleasant on the ear. Can't imagine any other act blowing me over like she did tonight in this series. Congratulations Susan, that was amazing.

In a way she's Simon's idol contestant. Doesn't look much but boy what a voice. He can then say that he's transformed her when she's had a makeover. Good luck to the women she's waited a long time for a chance and she's finally got it. Wonderful performance. I'd be honoured to hear her sing live.

Was completely blown away. Such raw talent and she sang complete phrases where professionals sneak a breath (Saw Les Mis in London a couple of weeks ago and I also profess to sing(!)-so I notice these things). Susan- you were an undiscovered gem. I never usually vote on these things but if you do as well in the next round-and you will-I will be picking up my phone!
My partner came in from the pub- hates 'these reality shows'- and I forced him to watch this and he had tears rolling down his face- he also sings and is a fine tenor. Not been so moved and been so inspired for a very long time. Hope you get snapped up and go far.

I thought she was fantastic, but a word of warning. Rachel Hylton on X-Factor was just as good at first audition but turned out to be a surley, dislikeable one-trick pony, so lets not coronate her yet.

So saying that she was excellent and definately deserves to win based on what I've seen so far.

I'm very cynical about audition shows these days, but even I punched the air when she started singing. Like most other people I thought she was going to be another deluded soul, but she really was fantastic. Brought a tear to my eye. It will be one of those TV moments that people remember.

Look after her, Simon, she actually has got talent.

Now seen it about ten times and its stunning.

I was at her audition in the audience and oh my! Amanda's spot on, everyone thought it was going to be a train wreck and then she sang, you could just see so many jaws drop it was incredible! FANTASTIC!

Don't really see what the fuss is about - she has a nice tone but the voice really is nothing special. Limited range, wobbly top notes and very shouty on the crescendo up the scale.

Will we see you on there next year doing any better?
