If this is only between Michelle Ryan, Kylie and David Morrisey, then hands down, Michelle Ryan wins.

I do like Kylie, but she was very wooden in VoTD and David Morrisey was a tad annoying in TND. Michelle's character was interesting and was different from all the others.

I'm sorry to point out, but you have, in an earlier post you said that you dislike her in anything, that she can't act, and that she isn't even that good-looking, suggesting that it would make sense for the BBC to shoe horn her if at least they had the excuse with that fact that was good looking....and then you say its pathetic to include her because she is good looking!

The point I'm making is she is talentless and that the only reason she got the part, or maybe any part, is that some people, peculiarly, find her 'attractive'. Whether she's attractive or not is irrelevant if she were talented, but as she's not talented then it seems pertinent that she's isn't even attractive either.

Michelle was Great best assistant ever,

I've never seen her in anything else and I thought she was dreadful. No on screen chemistry at all.

Well as a woman who is straight, and therefore Michelle's prettyness factor means naught all....I would say that she got the part because she is talented.....even though I found the Character of Chriatina smug....I thought she played the part of being a smug, posh women perfectly, and believably......and really did feel like an equal to the tenth Doctor....

You don't like her - that's fine. To declare with near certainty that she is talentless just because you think so is just nonsense.

It's clear that there are people far more qualified than you or I who do think she is talented which is the reason she got the part.

I honestly thought this episode was one of the weakest. It took AGES to get to the point. Christina's character fancied herself too much and showed no surprise at all at being a.) confronted with another world b.) faced by fly people c.) faced with death ruining her exciting life and cutting short her thrills.

The supporting cast in the bus were more believable but underused.

It wasn't bad by any means and of course the graphics and whizz bangs are alwatys great but the storyline just wasn't very strong I didn't think and I didn't warm to the female lead as I've warmed to Billie, Tate and just about every other lead (even Rose's mother!).

Well those who matter thought she was Great that's all that matters. ,

those who cast Michelle thought she was best person they could have chosen for the part.

Ryan's emotional range is zero. She cannot act.

As a person who has only ever seen Michelle Ryan in one episode of anything (1 ep of Bionic Woman) I can say she was a pretty good companion. She can act, unlike what some people are saying on here.

Stop moaning people, its really is annoying. I may not be her biggest fan, but people on here like tearing people to shreds as they are sad and pathetic with no life (may sound harsh, but it's true). The only thing I agree with is the 'dead people in her hair' line wasn't the best bit of acting, but other than that she was good.

In my opinion Michelle and David Morrisey were the best Specials companions. Kylie was good, but not as good as those 2.

i dont get jealous of people doing well for themselves.

Although I did take to Christina....and think that she was suited to this one off special.....I have to say that I did like the other people in the bus more....especially Barcley and Carmen.....one had nice subtle comedy moments to him, and good timing....and the other was quite good at crrepy me out with her words.....


For goodness sake, no one can be right or wrong in this situation....its just a matter of opinion....and those who thought she wasn't good are equally as valid and subjective as those who thought she was great......

For the record I'm the latter; her performance wasn't bad but it had no impact upon me personally. I thought the rest of the cast were underused. And what the heck was Lee Evans doing as the mad scientist? Apart from inventing 500 Bernards - an interesting lead in to the next (short term?)assistant.
