If you have a spot, press ice on it for a few mins to get rid of the redness and pain. NEVER pick it because you will be left with blemishes/scarring.

Make your own moisturising hair masques by using either pure coconut oil or extra virgin olive oil. Its much cheaper for your purse and better for your hair than shop bought conditioners filled with cheap silicones.
Do it atleast once a week to make sure your hair stays healthy

Mix some regular sugar and some clear honey in a bowl and use all over to exfoliate yourself. Cheap and really works. Especially good for your face to slough off that dead skin and leave you glowing and on your legs and underarms before you shave!

A great tip that gives flat hair lots of volume. Comb wet hair backwards and dry it like that. Then apply Johnson´s baby powder to the roots of he hair. It actually absorbs humidity and keeps the roots dry and makes the hair look fluffy.

Washing your hair in cold water is good if you have coloured your hair (particularly if you have dyed your hair a bright colour)

I wash my hair in cold water anyway, though I leave it until the end!

If you can remember, use a deep conditioning mask on your hair every 2 weeks. It should help to remove any products you've used on your hair.

I bought this one (though a bigger tub) from superdrug today.

not sure if someone has already suggested but...vasaline, honey and sugar mixed into a paste is a great lip scrub for chapped lips.

rinse your hair in tea water. it rejuvinates the hair and you can tell that from the difference in the hair texture.

So just cold tea?
Do you shampoo and wash it off with tea, or shampoo, wash off with water, and then pour the tea over?

When drying/straightening/curling your hair, ALWAYS use a heat protection spray such as this one

If you have 10 minutes reading this thread, you have 10 minutes to google homemade beauty treatments to find something that suits your skin type.

http://www.google.co.uk/#sclient=psy...w=1229&bih=550

Here's a few tried and tested that work.

Tomatoes act as a mini face peel. They'll slough off the dead skin, leaving your face glowing.

Honey is a natural humectant and has a multitude of beauty uses.

http://www.health-issues.org/beauty-...sing-honey.htm

Bi-carbonate of soda is a very good exfoliator, don't overdo it though. Less is more.

Rosemary, chop up a small amount and place in small amount of boiled water, transfer to sealed jar/container and use as a skin toner. This mixture is amazing, your skin will love it. Mix in small quantities and refrigerate. This will only keep for a week.

Carrier and essential oils. I haven't yet found one that won't blend with your everyday lotions and face creams. Never add essential oils direct to your skin, always blend with your creams. One drop to a pump of cream is sufficient for a particular body area or whole of face.

Remember when applying your face creams, take them down and around the neck and décolletage, that includes the back of the neck, those wrinkles start somewhere.

Carmex lip balm, not only is it fab on the lips, try rubbing a small amount on your face. One of its ingredients is menthol, which is a derivative of peppermint. Peppermint oil used on the skin is renowned for helping produce the skins natural oils.

Anytime you have a beauty problem, always google homemade beauty remedy for.. before you spend your hard earned money on over the counter products. You'll be amazed at what you have in your home that will work just as well if not better than OTC products.

My favourite tip is if you home dye your hair wrap it in cling film whilst your waiting for the colour to develop. It keeps the heat in making the colour more vibrant.

Anyone got any good tips for hard skin on feet?

It's actually better to use a deep conditioner weekly. Especially if you use straighteners or tongs. My hair did a complete turn around when I started doing this.
