Last night I was recording a few shows but watching TV from another source so the Foxsat was in standby.

This morning I got up and was surprised to see the time on the front display of the box as it is when recording when the box has been on standby. The box was still warm and when I turned it on it went straight to the channel it was on last, no boot up process as normal. The last recording it made was Click on BBC News at 4.30 so the box should have been in standby. I have noticed this a few times now. Is this a bug? I am just worried that it could happen if I went away on holiday etc, the box could effectily be running for the time I was away.

It's never happened on mine during the 5 months I have had it. The box does come on in the early hours to build the chapter thumbnails , but i have never found it in anything but full sby when I drag myself out of bed though.

Did one of the recordings fail? I.e. was it still waiting for a start signal? Don't know how long it waits before it gives up.

Curiously, the recording of Click did fail, no messages or anything either. I did notice that afternoon that there wasn't an entry in the scheduled recordings and it was at the top of the list. Later though it was scheduled for next week again.

I presume the BBC messed up the data for the recording not to happen? The programme was aired as my BT Vision box recorded it.
